UEA Women’s Hockey - 🏑🧡🎉

We are a large, 6 teamed club, alongside 2 BUCS teams.

Even if you’ve never picked up a hockey stick before you are welcome to join, our 6th team don’t play in leagues but just train together for fun and fitness and to improve their ability. 🏑

Our club is not just a team, but a family. There is so much to do, and so many friends to make. We have some of the biggest and best socials at UEA 🎉

The University of East Anglia Hockey teams have supported Meningitis Now and raised over £30,000 since 2001, when student and team member Mike Covell died of meningitis

This month, some of our members are taking on the Dry January Challenge to raise money for Meningitis Now.⁣⁣⁣

We know that Sports Clubs have a bit of a reputation when it comes to alcohol, so going sober for a whole month could prove quite difficult. So to keep our participants motivated, let’s all get donating to the just giving link in our bio! 🥂⁣⁣⁣

As a club we are proud to get behind the Movember campaign, which raises money to support men’s mental health. Men are often overlooked or told to ‘man up’ when expressing their emotions, which results in 75% of UK suicides being male. In addition to the annual tache growing, we want to try and get as many UEAHC members involved as possible so we will also be taking part in the 4,4,4 challenge.
