Is protein overhyped?
We are seeing such a phase of people worrying about getting so much protein that they forget we need other nutrients for our health.
Fibre for our gut microbiome.
Carbs for fibre for our gut, and for energy, thyroid, brain function, liver function.
Fats for brain health, hormones, hydration.
Most people I see now who are conscious of protein are actually overeating it.
And what happens?
They get gut issues, bloating, gas, and they also don't think about fibre.
Their stool tests then show up some not so beneficial results, and the issue was the unbalanced diet they were following.
So, food for thought literally, if you're having gut issues and consuming lots of protein, maybe try backing off it a little.
