The 100% Club! โšฝ๐Ÿ’ฏ

As part of our Respect Programme, supported by Hansells Solicitors, all teams in that achieved a 100% positive behaviour rating between January and May were entered into a draw to win a ยฃ150 voucher for the Team Grassroots Respect Shop.

The 100% Club is all about celebrating positive behaviour and championing the values that make grassroots football thrive. ๐Ÿค Stay tuned as next week we will be confirming the teams that have achieved a 100% positive behaviour rating across the whole season, and therefore make the 100% Club 25/26 roll of honour! ๐Ÿ’ฏ

For now though, congratulations to our two Jan-May prize draw winners - Gorleston Rangers Ladies and Stoke United U11 Panthers! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’™

Our final recognition of is Cameron Seal who is a Coach for Dersingham Rovers U10s and a referee when time allows.

He has been volunteering in football for just over a year and his journey started from watching his Dad coach from a young age and this inspired him to have a go at it as well.

When asked why he volunteers, Cameron said: "I enjoy lots of things in grassroots football but my most notable contribution is getting to have fun with the players and create an environment where they can be themselves and have a good time.

"I volunteer to further the ability and have fun with the players I coach!"

Our next Volunteer being celebrated as part of is Paul Sell, who is the Coach of Costessey Ladies and Costessey Sports Club Secretary. He is also on the NWGFL committee and is a passionate supporter of the female game.

His volunteering journey started like many others with coaching his sonโ€™s team as no one else would. This was almost 10 years ago, and after obtaining his Level 1 & 2 Coaching Qualifications you could say he had caught the coaching bug!

After coaching with other local organisations, he went on to start the Costessey Ladies team three years ago which had led to the creation of a successful pathway from youth to adult and progression to the Eastern Region League.

When asked why he volunteers, Paul said: โ€œI just love helping people, helping people be their best and in this context enjoying their football. As a team we focus on the environment, and fun training sessions which also keep us fit and help us become better footballers. Training and matches become something to look forward to after a long week at school, college or work. Football becomes the release for us all. The physical and mental benefits of being part of a team of people all pulling in the same direction, all loving football, are unbelievable.

โ€œI love football, helping people and having sense of purpose.โ€

The next person we are celebrating as part of is Matthew Green, who has been volunteering as a Coach at King's Lynn Community Football ever since he was a member with the disability football programme, thatโ€™s now over 20 years ago! He first volunteered to support his own development and contribute towards coursework.

On joining the College of West Anglia to complete a programme in coaching, Matthew has volunteer a large amount of his time to help across various football programmes. Everyone will know him as โ€˜Smilerโ€™ as he has never been seen with anything but a smile on his face. ๐Ÿ˜€

When asked why he enjoys volunteering, Matthew said: โ€œI love meeting new players as well as new coaches who I can learn from. This allows me to learn new practices and sessions as well as how to adapt styles of play.โ€
