We have had an incredible weekend competing at the Pipers Vale Pre Grades competition in Ipswich. All 6 of our competing gymnasts showed some amazing routines and collected special recognition from the judges in the form of certificates awarded on each piece.
Poppy and Micaela kicked things off on Friday in the Performance 1 round.
Micaela collected a bronze medal for her Range routine and a shield for placing 3rd All Around. As well as an Easter egg for her number design!
Poppy collected a handful of silver medals, placing 2nd on Vault, Bars and Range! Poppy also collected a shield for 2nd all around!
Saturday saw Callie and Alana take to the stage in the Preparation 2 round.
Callie collected a full set of medals with bronze on Bars, silver on Beam and gold on Range! Callie also added a shield to her collection for placing 3rd All Around!
Alana shared the podium with her teammate, collecting bronze on bars! Alana also won silver medals on Floor and Range, along with a shield for placing 2nd All Around!
Keira and Elva closed out the weekend today competing in the Development 1 round.
Elva received special recognition from the judges following her excellent bar routine where she narrowly missed out on a medal by 0.4! Elva also showed a powerful flighty vault, again narrowly missing out on the medals by 0.25!
Keira won a bronze medal on Range and a gold medal on Bars with a jaw dropping routine! Keira also collected a shield for placing 2nd All Around! Aside from the medals, a personal triumph for Keira today was a fully linked round off, flick, flick on the floor!
Well done to all of the girls who competed over the weekend!
