🎂 No… Matt Fever isn’t turning 20! 😅

Today we’re celebrating something much more impressive! 20 years of Matt being part of the Bannatyne family.

Over the last two decades, Matt has worked with us as both a Personal Trainer and a Self-Employed Personal Trainer, helping countless members achieve their goals and always bringing a smile, plenty of encouragement and a wealth of knowledge to the gym.

Twenty years is an incredible milestone, and we’re so thankful for everything Matt has given to the club over the years. It’s a pleasure to have him as part of the Bannatyne team.

Congratulations Matt, and thank you for an amazing 20 years! 💚🩶👏

Where it started . . .

Before the gym, there was martial arts.

These photos capture some of the people and moments that shaped me as a coach, from my first class in 1990 with my original instructor and mentor Robert Banham, to training with some incredible instructors in America, earning my 4th Dan, and teaching my own students here in Norwich.

Looking back, I can see just how much those experiences influenced me.

This month marks 20 years of coaching at the gym!

Looking back, it's incredible to think about the people, friendships, and memories that have filled those years. Thousands of sessions. Early mornings, late evenings, countless squats, deadlifts, first pull-ups, PBs, setbacks, comebacks, and plenty of laughs along the way.

The biggest thing I've learnt is that coaching is truly about people. Helping people become healthier, build confidence, and discover they're capable of more than they ever imagined, while recognising that training is just one part of life and needs to fit alongside everything else that demands our time and attention.

Over the last two decades I've had the privilege of helping thousands of people with their training. I've worked with complete beginners through to Premier League football players. Advanced lifters to retired grandparents. Some have stayed for years, others for a season, but every person has been part of the story so far and I'm incredibly grateful to everyone who's trusted me with their training, and to the community we've built together.

Twenty years is something I'm incredibly proud of, especially in an industry with such a high turnover. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of it.
