💪 ONE WEEK TO GO UNTIL NATIONAL FITNESS DAY!

Next Wednesday 16 September, we’re celebrating National Fitness Day at Sportspark with FREE access between 09:00–16:00, giving you the chance to get active, try something new and make the most of our facilities.

You can enjoy FREE access to the gym, pool, group exercise, FILL, pitches and tennis courts, all subject to availability.

And with Welcome Week getting underway, it’s the perfect opportunity for new students to explore Sportspark, get active and meet like-minded fitness enthusiasts. Whether you’re looking to try a new activity or just get moving, come and get involved!

ARRIVALS WEEKEND 🛻

We are hugely excited to welcome our UEA students onto campus for the 2026-27 Academic year.

To help reduce congestion and support the safe arrival of new students, Sportspark users will not be able to park in the Main UEA car park from Friday 11 to Sunday 13 September. Overflow parking will instead be located at the West car park (subject to availability), a short walk from the building as shown on the map below.

Please also be aware that, due to many arrivals happening on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September, there will be a one-way system in place at the weekend requiring all traffic to enter University Drive from Earlham Road only i.e. NOT via Bluebell Drive.

We strongly advise all those visiting us during this period utilise public transport, cycle or walk. If attending by car then please ensure you allow additional time for the increased traffic and adjusted location of overflow parking.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your cooperation.

💪 New to circuits? This one’s for you!

If you’re looking to improve your fitness but aren’t sure where to start, our Beginner Circuits six-week course is a great place to begin.

Starting Wednesday 23 September, 08:30–09:30, you’ll learn the basics and work on your fitness in a balanced and structured way, with our Fitness Advisors on hand to help you work within your own fitness level.

Whether you’re new to exercise or looking to build your confidence, this course is a great way to get fitter, learn new skills and have fun along the way.

We're looking for enthusiastic and driven Children’s Activity Leaders to join our Community Sport Development Team on a casual basis.

Within this role, our leaders and coaches will have the opportunity to deliver on the following programmes:

• Holiday Club: A children’s enrichment and activity programme running during the school holidays, year-round.
• PROgress Sport Services: Our school and community group programme engaging young people and adults in physical activity.
• Community events: Including the Business Games, Royal Norfolk Show and many more!
• Inclusive provisions: Delivering meaningful physical activities to adults and children with additional needs.
