Who - U4 (balance bike), U8, U10, U12, U14 (boys & girls)

ENTRY DEADLINE EXTENDED 🙌

We had a great day yesterday running our 2026 Muddy Monsters Schools Cycling Championships in partnership with Norwich School Sport Partnership.

The aim of the event was to give more children the opportunity to take part in their first ever cycle sport event.

The event was held in Eaton Park in Norwich and saw 80 pupils from Year 5-6 represent their school.

School teams comprised of 10 riders (5 boys/5 girls), who all took part in 3 events

- Sprint race
- Skills course
- Team relay

Pupils scored points for their team based on their performance. The team with the most points was crowned the winner.

Jon Osborne, Race Director commented;
“It was amazing to see so many pupils taking part in their first ever bike races and having so much fun whilst doing so”.

ROUND #1 - REPORT 🚴‍♂️

The series kicked off yesterday with a great first round in Eaton Park in Norwich. Over 70 young riders entered to take part and it was a brilliant afternoon of racing.

The racing was fast and furious with some great action during the racing.

Many of the riders had taken part in the series before but lots were racing for the very first time.

The weather was dry and warm with a blustery wind which kept things interesting.

It was inspiring to see riders challenging themselves to do their best against other riders in the three races; sprint race, endurance race, skills race.

Riders aged from 2-14 years old with a good mix of both boys & girls.
