Tia, tia, tia. You are bloody beautiful.
We've always struggled with the trot, it's the pace she has always found most difficult and she gets immensely stressed because she finds it so hard which then leads to tension, hollowing and crabbing. However, just before I got injured I had just started to shine a light on a way to break this cycle and get her to understand its OK to be stressed but you've got to come back. 2nd session back after 2/3 months off and I'm genuinely over the moon. It's all there now, its just a case of fine tuning and extending the parameters of what she finds doable.
Her focus has improved ten fold and as a result it's becoming much easier to talk her through her worries and keep her between my leg and hand and keep that balance there.
She is by far one of the most complicated, big moving horses I've ever ridden, let alone trained but she is getting it now, all the pennies are dropping at the same time and we are getting so very excited 😁
