Another happy face of Léon and his sister from Grading day a few weeks back, Léon and his dad train with us a few times a week and rumour has it Léon was pictured practising his kata in Disneyland paris with ironman himself!

We have a number of Parent child combos that train together, which is cool as you guys know from Brandon and Libby and their mum training together also.

Léon also wins the student with the most merch collected to date from Osita-ha England official supplier suffer no fools

Big shout out to poppy one of our Whitebelts that has come on massively in such a short time which showed recently in her double grade, but also on our training session she managed to box off Rohai shodan, nidan and sandan as a white belt in an advanced course with our head instructor from Japan 10th Dan

Watch this space as Poppy is just one of our super students that will go far in their karate journey.

Well that was a warm one so little bit more relaxed tonight, Warm but as i’ve always said “they show up every week”, this is why their standard is high as they train. Great awareness and speed games tonight and how the juniors can hold planks one handed is awesome on the game .

Tonight’s highlights…….

Cary’s our quiet but awesome student pushed through and beat everyone to be plank winner !

Little Sophie said been practising her plank and i could tell as was awesome.

Little George was awesome again not only winning his own speed game as the youngest student but smashing his dad in the plank game 🤣

New students in the senior class disks really well and learnt ren zuko ichiban straight away.

Nice to have that break from kata and grading for a few weeks then back onto learning syllabus with lots more kumite.

Great thing tonight was rewarding little George, whom came in to training asleep in dads arms, woke up and trained like a star, George has come on so much from starting for one of younger years. Each week joins in and try’s hard. Well done George on getting your first stripe and certificate for punching and front kick 🙌🥋🙌.

What an evening, busiest class to date 4 instructors running kata section, kumite sparring and padwork in a rotation format, quick speed !

They always enjoy the kumite, and lots saying they’ve already learnt the next kata on way out.

Many thanks to Brandon, libby and Sophie for helping out. Then in Senior class all padwork tonight with a good burn up 😰

2 new members signed up and did great tonight, next few weeks lots of newbies 😬

Grading - Wow from early doors to just now saw 30 students grade from their first belt to purple white. We have to admire all students as the standard from our 5 year olds to seniors they all knocked it out of the dojo. The syllabus is tricky but they all mastered it.

Big shout out to Dale who whilst a older junior produced the best kata of the whole day. Then Poppy also who completed the grading 4 grade higher and Double graded).

Well that was last lesson run through before grading, few pre grading nerves but should be good as they’ve proven over weeks they know their stuff.

Also well done to Max picking up his next kata and help teaching 3 new students tonight in senior class , 4 new starters tonight and they did really well learning first kata in a lesson !, with more next week also coming.
