The team train twice a week at Hartford School of Gymnastics, Cheshire and are coached by Michelle Oakes. Hartford Gymnastics Display Team is based in Northwich, Cheshire. We currently have 15 members, all girls with a range of ages and experience. We work together and operate more as a family than a team. We support each other in all we do including everything other than gymnastics and we are a t
eam that never gives up no matter what! The team train 2-3 days per week at Hartford School of Gymnastics, the club offer a wide variety of gymnastics disciplines including women’s and men’s artistic, recreational gymnastics, pre-school gymnastics and adult gymnastics. We stick to what we are good at; our routines consist of dance, gymnastics skills, tumbles and balances. We work tirelessly on creating perfect formations on the floor and ensuring everything is performed in time with the music and also each other. Each routine is designed and choreographed by the coach Michelle Oakes however the team regularly input ideas, helping to make our routines even more creative and unique. Every year we have one main routine with a certain theme. Between September and Christmas we work hard to ensure the routine is complete and ready for the year of festivals and displays ahead. We often work on a shorter routine for the Friday Night Gala performance in Scotland and to use at various outdoor events throughout the summer. For outdoor summer displays the team also perform vaulting, trampet and springboard sequences. The team travel to events up and down the country including the Scottish Gymfest, National and Regional Gymfusions and local community events.
