Whether you're a seasoned pro or have never even touched a rugby ball, Winnington Park R.F.C. welcomes you to our Touch Rugby sessions! It’s all about fitness, fun, and a great social atmosphere. No pressure, no tackling, just turn up and play!

Winnington Park RFC are delighted to confirm our Senior Men’s Coaching Team for the 2026/27 season.

With preparations for pre-season already underway, we’re excited to announce the group that will lead our three senior men’s teams into the new campaign.

Winnington Park RFC are delighted to confirm our Senior Men’s Coaching Team for the upcoming 2026/27 season.

Chris Sheppard said:

“Excited to have this opportunity to work with so many talented players and coaches. Let’s see what we can achieve together as a club.”

Aaron Collins added:

“Really excited for the opportunity at hand and the development of my role from S&C to a lead coach alongside Shep. The past season has made me find my love for rugby again, so I’m looking forward to July when we can get stuck in with the lads and prepare for a competitive season.”

Jack Starr said:

“I’m excited to be involved again this year across all three men’s teams with Chris and Aaron. Last season was my first and we still have plenty left to improve on. Pre-season is coming around quickly and I can’t wait to get stuck in with the boys.”

The experienced Danny Townsend will once again play a key role within the group, bringing his knowledge and support to Chris, Aaron and Jack as the club continues to develop across all three senior sides.

With a strong blend of experience, energy and enthusiasm, we’re looking forward to seeing what this group can achieve together.

First Ever Car Boot Sale Coming to Winnington Park RFC
We're excited to announce that Winnington Park RFC will be hosting its very first Car Boot Sale on Sunday 26th July, from 10am to 4pm.

Whether you're looking to pick up a bargain, declutter your home, or simply enjoy a day out at the club, we'd love to welcome you along for what we hope will become a fantastic annual community event.

The first ever game for the newly formed Winnington Park Netball Team ended in an emphatic 15–1 win.

🏉 FAMILY FUN DAY AT WPRFC! 🏉

Looking for the perfect family day out? Look no further! Bring the whole gang down to Winnington Park RFC on Saturday 27th June for a massive day of games, laughter, and togetherness.

Best of all? It is FREE ENTRY FOR ALL! 🙌

We have an action-packed schedule lined up from 12:30pm right through to 6:00pm, including a Kids Taster Session, Cross Bar Challenge, Tug of War, and the ultimate game of Touch British Bulldog!

What else is on?
🍔 BBQ On – Delicious hot food available throughout the day.
🍻 Bar Open – Refreshing drinks served all afternoon.
🍦 Ice Cream Van – To keep the kids (and adults) cool.

🏉 Senior Player Pre-Season Meeting 🏉

We are looking forward to welcoming back all male senior players as preparations begin for the new season.

The meeting will provide an opportunity to discuss our plans for the year ahead, the direction of the senior playing section and how we intend to continue moving the club forward both on and off the pitch.

Whether you are a returning player or considering getting involved with the senior squad this season, please come along and be part of the conversation.

WPRFC Appoint Dave Allcock and Richard Querelle as Directors of Rugby for the 2026/27 Season

WPRFC is delighted to announce the appointment of Dave Allcock and Richard Querelle as Directors of Rugby for the 2026/27 season.

Both Dave and Richard are former players with a wealth of experience and a strong understanding of the club, its values and its ambitions. Dave has previously held the Director of Rugby role and brings valuable experience, continuity and leadership as the club prepares for the new season.

Working together, Dave and Richard will support the continued development of the senior teams, help strengthen the pathway for emerging coaches and work closely with the club’s dedicated playing group.

Richard Querelle said:

“I am absolutely delighted to be working with Dave this upcoming season. We built a solid foundation last season across all of our senior teams, and we now want to push on and climb our respective league tables.

I am particularly proud to be supporting a new generation of young coaches coming through, alongside all of our dedicated players.”

Dave Allcock said:

“I am delighted to be returning to the Director of Rugby role and to have the opportunity to work alongside Richard. We both care deeply about the club and want to create the right environment for our senior teams to develop, compete and enjoy their rugby.

There is a great deal of hard work taking place behind the scenes, and we are excited about the potential within the playing group and the talented young coaches who are stepping forward. The focus now is on building momentum and making the 2026/27 season a positive one for everyone involved.”

We wish Dave and Richard every success in their new roles and look forward to sharing further updates as preparations for the new season continue.

All of us at WPRFC send our deepest condolences to Northwich Rugby Union Football Club following the sad passing of their President, Colin “CJ” Johnson. A remarkable man and a true gentleman of the rugby family. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and the club. 🏉❤️
