WPRFC is recruiting for the 2026/27 season! Our 1st XV is currently competing in Regional 2 North West, and we have one goal for next year: Promotion.

We are looking for players who want to be part of a winning culture, but we also remain a home for rugby at every level. Whether you're chasing high-level competition or a social game with the Vets, WPRFC is the place to be.

Looking for the perfect family day out? Look no further! Bring the whole gang down to Winnington Park RFC on Saturday 27th June for a massive day of games, laughter, and togetherness.

Best of all? It is FREE ENTRY FOR ALL! 🙌
We have an action-packed schedule lined up from 12:30pm right through to 6:00pm, including a Kids Taster Session, Cross Bar Challenge, Tug of War, and the ultimate game of Touch British Bulldog!

What else is on?
🍔 BBQ On – Delicious hot food available throughout the day.
🍻 Bar Open – Refreshing drinks served all afternoon.
🍦 Ice Cream Van – To keep the kids (and adults) cool.
🎨 Face Painting – Brilliant designs for the little ones.

🏉 1st Team Captain Announcement 🏉

Martin Poste and the coaching Team are delighted to announce that Matt Treacy has been appointed as 1st Team Captain for the upcoming season.
A dedicated player, leader and ambassador for the club, Matt has consistently demonstrated the commitment, work ethic and passion that is required to step into the role. His leadership on and off the field has earned the respect of teammates, coaches and supporters alike.

A quick message from Matt:

"It's important firstly that we all recognise and thank Dan Williams for his captaincy. You won't find a more passionate, committed and hard working player at Winnington Park than Dan, and his leadership has been critical in steadying the ship over the last few years. We've been friends and teammates for many years and I hope to meet the high standard he's set.

Looking ahead to next season, I hope to see us build on our successful performances from the previous year. This is a tough league with no easy games, but we've proven that we can compete with the best when we work hard as a team. We have the benefit of having some brilliant young players finding their feet at senior level -- some already competing for places in the 1st XV -- and I'm excited to see how they continue to develop and contribute to the club's success this year and beyond.

The coaching team have ambitious targets for us all this season, which I'm confident we can meet with the right focus and effort, and I look forward to working together to achieve the very best we can for the club. We welcome all your support to help us do this!

MULTI-SPORTS CAMPS FOR SUMMER HOLIDAY! ⚽️🏉🏓🏏🎾

Our rugby and football camps are now going to be extended to a full variety of sports for our Summer holiday offer! Each session, children will have the option to still choose rugby or football, but now with the inclusion of other sports, such as cricket, rounders, pickle ball, dodgeball, table tennis and volleyball, to ensure they have an action packed sporting Summer break!

Ages: Under 6’s - Under 13’s

Timings: 9am-3pm

Dates: Tuesday 28th, Wednesday 29th and Thursday 30th July

Tuesday 4th, Wednesday 5th and Thursday 6th August

Price: £30 for one day, £55 for two days or £72 for all three days per week

WPRFC is forming a Veterans side for the 2026/27 season. We’re trading lung-busting fitness sessions for 4-6 quality fixtures and a proper post-match pint.
