We have seen our fair share of clients with Plantar Fasciitis over the years... here are some facts and tips you may not have known!

Common causes of plantar fasciitis:
❌ Being overweight
❌ Having limited ankle dorsiflexion.
❌ Spending a lot of time on your feet without breaks.
❌ Repetitive high impact activities e.g. running / jumping.
❌ Incorrect footwear for your activity.
❌ Menopausal reduction in oestrogen effects the elasticity of the plantar fascia.

Things you can do to help prevent or treat existing plantar fasciitis:
✅ Establish and maintain a healthy weight.
✅ Improve ankle mobility via regular exercise, including stretching.
✅ Take regular breaks if you spend much time on your feet.
✅ Choose exercise that requires no or little running/jumping.
✅ Invest in appropriate footwear for your activities.

fit for life dads

fit for life dads has been borne from the need for an alternative to the every increasing number of ‘same old’ gyms popping up in the local area. Having run a very successful ‘women-only’ fitness business for over 5 years we have listened to the voices of our many clients who wanted similar offering for their partner, husband, brother, son...

So, our aim is to offer something a little different to the normal gym... an outdoor environment where it doesn’t matter if you are the fittest, fastest, youngest, oldest... a place where you can become a fitter, stronger you without being judged!
