Car Park Barrier - 1
S-Works Tarmac - 0

We were asked to inspect this SL8 frameset after an unfortunate encounter with a car park barrier.

At first glance the damage looked serious, but after careful inspection of the fork and the rest of the frame it was clear the repair was viable.

With damage this close to the bottom bracket, the repair needed careful attention. After removing the fractured material and preparing the area, the frame was rebuilt with the correct carbon layup to restore strength and integrity.

Matching the finish was the next challenge. The factory paint on the Tarmac is applied by hand, so we spent some time testing and recreating the effect before sealing everything in with a matte finish.

Top tube woes for this stunning C64...

This Colnago was dropped off with the simple question, "Can it be fixed". Absolutely is the answer.
The owner opted for our usual Premium finish for best possible look.

With the top tube having complex concave shaping running along the edges we had to make sure the carbon was taken back evenly across the high ridges as well as in the grooves.

Once we were happy all delamination was removed, the replacement carbon was applied, taking extra care to ensure proper compaction in those recessed concave areas.

This Cinelli Pressure 2 recently arrived for a double repair to top tube and down tube.

With the repair being so close to the decal we set about making a template first before removing the paint.

Once we were happy with the sizing and shape, the damaged carbon was scarfed back and replaced.

As with all our paints the colours were matched by eye like for like with the original. Then the process began to paint the base frame colour, followed by the blocks of colour in the logo and finally the black edging to complete the graphic.

This was then finished off with a high gloss 2k clear coat.

After passing Quality control the Cinelli was rebuilt and PDI'd ready to roll.

This Saracen Myst DH bike came in to us around Christmas time for a general health check after being bought secondhand for a lucky young shredder.

Lurking on the down tube covered by white tape was strike damage with a previous home repair job that looked a little suspect.

Upon investigation, the majority of the carbon was stuck ontop of the original paint and in some spots ontop of tape! Effectively offering zero structural support. Upon further investigation the wrong kind of resin had been used, leaving the carbon soft and flexible.

After the assessment the customer opted for the premium repair.

Once opened out all the old repair was removed to make sure no delamination was present, the new repair was then applied.

Then with a lick of paint it was back to looking good as new again, with the Owner knowing the frames safe to ride.

When it comes to damage your carbon frames, always best to seek a professional so you can have full trust in the repair.

The Colnago C50, introduced in 2004 to celebrate 50 years of the brand. 22 years on and this one arrived with a dropout that required some careful relocation.

The frame was initially brought in for a repair to the chainstay. Abrasion damage suspected to be cause by an out of dish wheel. Upon closer investigation we found the driveside dropout to be 2mm longer, resulting in a wheel which looked ok at the top, but was closer to the driveside chainstay at the bottom.

In order to fix this the dropout was carefully removed, cleaned and a fine fibre glass cloth applied to the inserts to prevent galvanic corrosion in future years.

Once we were happy the frame was jigged correctly for alignment, we were ready for the final bond.

paint was then applied and the original chainstay damage repaired. All ensuring this Colnago has plenty of years still to go.

This Colnago was sent in for repair to the seat tube.

As this was a premium repair we had to design the logo and lettering to size. Once we were happy with the test logos we set about the carbon repair. As seen in the photo, the delamination went quite far!

After application of all the replacement carbon and making sure it was cured we set about the paintwork.

As with all our colour matching, the paint was mixed to suit, so we can ensure it looks good as new.
