Mark your calendars! Cuddington and Sandiway Football club is excited to announce its participation in the upcoming Play Safe Weekend.
Spearheaded by The Football Association (FA) and endorsed by the NSPCC, the Play Safe campaign aims to promote safeguarding across all levels of English football.
This years Play safe weekend focusses on the safeguarding role EVERYONE has to play right from the coaches to parents and spectators to keep children and young people safe, no matter what football setting.
Our Plan for Play Safe Weekend
Captain’s Play Safe armbands will be worn at various levels of the game over the weekend. Head coaches/managers are also being asked to wear Play Safe pin badges to show their support.
We are also encouraging parents and carers to sign up for the Safeguarding Awareness for Parents & Carers course, on England Football Learning, to help them make an informed choice about the football setting they enrol their children in
How to Get Involved
We invite you to make an online Play Safe Pledge, signifying your commitment to the cause. By doing so, you are acknowledging the role you can play in safeguarding our young participants and ensuring that everyone can enjoy football in a safe environment.
FASSSAG’s Endorsement
The FA’s Survivor Support and Safeguarding Advisory Group (FASSSAG) continues to support the initiative and stresses the collective responsibility we all bear in ensuring safety within the football community.
