Forget the Champions league final ⚽️
It’s the final game of the season for both senior Blyth Rangers side and its Northeast Combination Football League - NCFL vs The Northern Football Alliance as
Blyth Rangers Independent take on Blyth Rangers FC Seniors in the The Commissioners Quay Inn Shield match. 🛡️

Indpendent are the current holders after a 3-1 win in 2024/25 season, and we will not want to relinquish the shield this year.

Get down for some free football and cheer both teams on, Saturday 30th May. Ko 1:45pm at Bede Academy, 6th Ave, Blyth.

OPEN TRAINING SESSIONS!

With the 2025/26 season over it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster in terms of players in & out as well as management changes every 3 months during this season.
A 5th place finish in the Premier Division, & we reached two cup quarter finals despite all the adversity.

BUT! we made it to the end and with some stability now and with an excellent management & coaching staff established we will look forward to working through preseason & into the 2026/27 season.

Not only are we looking for any unattached players who want a new challenge, but we are looking for a new manager & coach(es) to take on the team going forward.

We have a well structured set up within Blyth Rangers Football Club from Juniors up to the two Adult teams.
Blyth Rangers Independent are looking for a new management team and players for the Northeast Combination Football League - NCFL Premier Division season going forward.

Anyone interested please message us directly.
Training is Tuesdays 7pm - 8pm Bede Acadmey 3G.
Matches are Saturdays 1:30pm Ko (Home pitch The Isabella)

A couple of results to catch up on over the last three weeks.

Northeast Combination Football League - NCFL
Premier Division

Blyth Rangers Independent 2-3 Newcastle Westgate Seniors

NCFL Copa De Presidenties 2nd Round
North Sunderland F.C. Res. 0-5 Blyth Rangers Independent

We found ourselves 3-0 down vs Westgate and managed to fight our way back but just couldn’t get that deserved third in a very entertaining game. Westgate holding on to the three points in the end.

Then a trip up the coast after a week off, as we took on North Sunderland Reserves in the Copa De Presidenties with a place in the quarter finals and home tie vs Haltwhistle Jubilee Reserves awaiting the winners.

A comfortable 5-0 win in the end which could easily of been 7 or 8 as we controlled the 2nd half despite North Sunderland having a lot of the ball. A solid performance and great win for the lads.

Northeast Combination Football League - NCFL League Cup 1st Round

Blyth Rangers Independent 5
Felling Magpies FC - Seniors 1

We book a place in the 2nd round vs Waldridge Park as we ran out fairly comfortable winners in the end.

A very fast start from Felling in the opening 10 mins saw us pegged back in our own half but there was no way Felling where keeping this pace for 90 minutes.

As we began to hold the ball up and get into our rhythm we started to gain control of the play, some great work in the midfield as we played the ball out to the left, Adam Beavis found Alex Poole with a cross to the far post and his first touch out of the sky to control the ball before hitting a powerful shot past the keeper calmed everyone’s nerves. (Honestly, the build up, cross and touch was better than the goal itself!)

Todd Musgrave and Scott Jenkinson both came close and the latter had a header ruled out for offside as we looked for that 2nd. Alex Poole then turned provider as he found himself free and unselfishly pulled it back across the 6 yard box for Todd Musgrave to make it 2-0 before half time.

Shortly into the 2nd half and Alex Poole made way for Shay Smith who with literally his second touch capitalised on a loose ball after a great shot from Shane Errington came back down off the crossbar to make it 3.

We than fell asleep and allowed Felling to pull one back after a bit confusion but Errington then played Shay Smith again minutes later to make it 4-1 (3 goals in a 8 minute spell!) and it was pretty much all over with around 25 minutes still to play. Robert McCrudden, Felix Stokoe & Callum Hunter all contributing to chances whilst James Noble in nets was almost a spectator for much of the game, credit to the Blyth back four.

Logan Lloyd came on and added a 5th and both Mackenzie & Nelson could have made it 6 & 7 in the last few minutes but not for some good goalkeeping from the Felling keeper. All in all, a deserved win and some good football after a month off!
