Although the AGM has been postponed Membership Subscriptions are now due (normally on the 1st January and at the same cost as last year) so please make payment to any of the committee members as shown on the notice board, thank you.

The AGM was held last night and the Minutes of the Meeting will be posted on the notice board directly. Please note that subscriptions are now due and that a replacement front door has now been fitted which has a different lock and keys can be obtained from Michael Cole.

There will be a Christmas 6 Red Ball competition and evening on Thursday 14th December 2023 starting at 6.30pm with all members welcome. For this event the time allowed for each frame will be 9 minutes with a handicap being used to try and make it more competitive. We hope to see members for another enjoyable evening.

There will be another 6 RED BALL competition on Tuesday 14th November 2023 starting at 6.30pm with all current members welcome and a small charge to keep the lights on. The previous evening was successful but it was felt that the time allowed was too short and therefore will be increased. We hope that you will be able to come and enjoy the evening.

Just started rereading Steve Davis's book "Interesting" in which he says that his farther wasn't the greatest player with a highest break of 58 which "is nothing to write home about". Once I had calmed down I would certainly write home about it but not to Steve.

Not suggesting that you stay up until after midnight for three consecutive days but for those interested it would be worth recording, for viewing at your leasure, a series of 3 episodes of Gods of Snooker which starts tonight on BBC2 and continues tomorrow night and late on Tuesday.
