Happy International Dance Day! I’m always one to look for a silver lining and I’m pleased that lockdown has allowed me the opportunity to reconnect with my dancing community and offer tutorials in something I love to do. ☺️

Things that I hoped would not happen during my first LIVE Zumba tutorial:

1. The speaker would cut out and leave me executing a VERY energetic butt wiggle in embarrassing silence.
2. Technology would continue to fail me for several further minutes until I had to cut the live and go back once it was fixed.
3. The dog would saunter by several times with what can only be described as half a tree in his tail.
4. Liam’s shorts would audibly rip at the crotch during cool down rendering me a ball of giggles as he took part off camera in the background.(In fairness this was a highlight, for me anyway!😂)

Thank you to those of you who joined me, joined in and stuck with me when it all went a bit pear shaped! If nothing else, I hope you had a good workout!😂 I genuinely can’t stop giggling.

***ONLINE ZUMBA CLASSES***

Hi everyone! I hope you are all staying safe and healthy as we hit another weekend in lockdown (though the sun is set to be shining ☀️ so that’s a positive!).

The Middle Eastern dance lessons have proved very popular during lockdown and I’m loving dancing with you all! 💃

I am also considering offering Zumba lessons during this time. I’m a qualified ZIN instructor and just want to take this opportunity to keep as many people moving and smiling as possible. Lockdown can be challenging in many ways and, as dancing is a great mood booster, I figured let’s team up and use it to brighten our time indoors! The setup for this would be slightly different:

- Lessons would be weekly on a Saturday morning from 9.35- 10.15am.
- £5 per month will give you access to all lessons within that time frame (this is to help cover the costs of me keeping my instructor licence active in order to teach and works out at less than £1.50 per lesson!)
- Lessons will be conducted via Zoom as this is a great way to get a more tailored experience.
- Zumba is a lot more cardio based than belly dancing generally and so be prepared for a great workout! 😁

Welcome to the mad house! Today has been a busy day of fitness with The Body Coach and then yoga (I guess it’s better to call it DOGa when Boris wants to be involved! 🐶) I hope you’re all well and keeping safe in the current situation. How are you keeping busy?

Following on from last time and using some much appreciated feedback, I’ve decided to dedicate tonight’s session to learning a short routine of the moves we’ve learned so far. This will give you more of an idea of what it is that you are working towards and it’s great fun too! We can then build on it as we go.
Don’t worry if you’ve missed the sessions up until this point, it will be simple to follow. 😁

The session will begin at 5pm as normal. See you there! 💃

Okay the shoulder is feeling quite a bit better and so dancing at 5pm is ON! I’m reliably informed that if you follow my page then you will be notified when I go live so rather than me creating an event every time please follow this page if you haven’t already to make it easier for you. I’ll be recapping our lesson the other day and adding some flourishes to them to further our skills.

Hello All! Sorry to be a pain but I’m going to have to postpone my tutorial this evening. No, not because lockdown is over and it’s party time, rather I occasionally get a trapped nerve in my neck and shoulder which makes any kind of movement very painful. I managed to trap my nerve this morning and haven’t managed to fix it yet- I blame Joe Wicks and his bloody PE sessions! I’m afraid it’s just going to be me, myself and my unicorn hot water bottle for today. Happy to send videos from Wednesday across to you if you still fancy a workout and I’ll aim to move this tutorial to Monday at 5pm instead. Hope to see you then!

Pfft! You try and do something nice and Facebook gets all grumpy with you! Unfortunately, Facebook police weren’t 100% sure that I was me and that I own the footage I just shot (live from my living room 🥴) and so have blocked it!😂 Never fear though, if you’d like to have another practice just send me a message and I will send you the video. Also, I will be recapping all of these movements again on Saturday at 5.

Once again, thank you SO much to everyone who joined in with me! It was so exciting to see familiar faces as well as brand new ones! Can’t wait to dance with you again. Please don’t forget to share the lesson event (will be posting later) with anyone that might be interested! 💕
