Day 2 at Oswestry was a little bit different from day 1.

Above altitude was prepared to go NFC as we went into the day, and unfortunately the decision was made in their first race of the day.

Woody got super excited by the environment and the new dogs we got to race against, and chose to visit the competition a few times, retiring early in the day, but showing some excellent box turns before this. 😈

Finley also got excited at the start of the day by all of the beautiful dogs but by changing to running anchor, he kept his head straight, bringing his ball every time, and gaining valuable ring experience. 🐾

Barney was ran by Chris today, and they both had a great time, with Barney showcasing consistency in his box turns and his timings, when we deducted Chris’s extremely variable starts (best 0.08, worst 1.47) 🤦‍♀️🥰

The team was completed today by Honey, setting the heights, running beautifully with Hannah, and showing some great box turns and fantastic changes at every available opportunity. 🐾

We also had Lily making her debut in little league. She ran fantastically for Caden, and whilst her ball was deemed an unnecessary addition today, she stayed in her lane, and kept her box turns looking awesome for every leg of her races.

She ignored the other dogs in the other day and really showed a great insight into the success she will have coming to her in the future.🥰🐶

Altitude have traveled across the country to Oswestry today, racing in division 3. The team has been hitting new heights, setting a new team time on their 2nd race (16:75) before breaking out spectacularly with a new team time of 16:00 in their third race.

The team started their day placed 103rd in the league and had smashed it down to 54th by the end of the day.

Phoenix, Java, Dexter, Wren & Yulara have come together, immediately gelling, and each race their passes and their speed have improved. It was an amazing 1st day of racing, however due to breaking out multiple times, the team didn’t get a ribbon, but they did get a resounding cheer and round of applause.

Java ran consistently at times around 3.6 seconds, and his devotion and the existing training that has been put in is evident in the ring. 🐾

Wren seemed to have been inspired by her littermate and both the extra training from Sophie and Holly, and has really improved her ball carriage, and her speed. 🐶

Yulara has had some beautiful box turns, and has been amazing as start dog, in her races. 💪

Phoenix has been putting out solid 4.0 times, with Caden handling and getting some great starts.

Dexter was a solid dog, running tight changes all day, and being an excellent anchor and bringing his ball time and time again.
