Altitude Flyball Team

So today a few of the team were at Tails We Win Flyball Teams competition. Thankyou Tails & Joe Lamont for a great competition.

I was coming home from holiday so Sophie stepped up to Captain & was amazing, I hear there was coffee & chats & a great team vibe 💪 couldn’t be prouder of the team for being amazing 💕

All the dogs did well, we were very proud.

Marvel was the star of the show, high focus and running brilliantly for Michelle showing a 3.97 L2L, so much more there & can’t wait to see him progress.

Minnie and Honey smashed it (literally in Minnie’s case, she got her striding wrong and took out the 1st jump 🤦thankfully she is fine). Honey being a solid girl & looking happy in the lanes.

Phoenix was the usual pro, with her partner Yulara forgetting all she’s ever learnt about her box turn 🤣. Going NFC to fix this she showed she can do the box turns if reminded. So much to come from her.

Wren built on recent clear run successes and while the ball is optional in comps, we know there’s so much to come from her.

Dexter smashed out some great times in his first day racing after a non-flyball related injury showing he’s still got it & doing it with style.

Rags managed to hold it together and not chase the opposition showing those improvements 💪

So all in all a productive day with some great pointers to take back.

Thankyou Clover Veterinary Physiotherapy for keeping our dogs in tip top shape, such a valuable asset to the team.

The future for this team looks amazing!

What a day we had at Cambridgeshire Flyball competition.

Incredibly proud of my team & the dogs 🐶

First up we had a new team line up running with Minnie handled by our junior Jake, Phoenix, our solid girl, Yulara a green dog who ran all day mid pack & Wren our green dog.

Jake handled Minnie extremely well all day being our solid start dog.

Yulara brought back every ball with Nicola doing some fantastic changes.

Wren ran all day & while the ball was optional still she got a PB of 3.98.

Then we had Rags & Marvel handled by our amazing Michelle. Rags was far too excited to focus 😈 however Marvel blew us all away.

We made the decision to change his turn after champs 2025 as he couldn’t hold the turn & wow, not only did he hold his turn he went head to head racing in LL. while the probs are still there he put out a 4.04 L2L which shows the potential in this dog.

In LL pairs we had Woody & Honey who did fantastic. Woody couldn’t handle the excitement of the fast dogs in the other lane but held that turn & Dom was amazing handling him calmly & with skill.

Phoenix & Caden were also given the the teacher dog award as the ran paw perfect supporting the newer dogs in the team. Thankyou Abbie.

Last big shout out to Charlie, who wasn’t running a dog but came along supporting and giving valuable help to the line & his team mates.

Also Pat & Richard who are always there helping & motivating the team.
