In less than 24hours we will be flying out to Uppsala, Sweden, to deliver our first international wheelchair rugby camp — a first for our wheelchair rugby within Northampton Saints Community Department.
The camp will bring together 30 players from Sweden, Norway and the UK for a weekend focused on engagement, learning and shared development across the sport. It will create space for Paralympic discipline players, WR5s players, and both senior and junior athletes to come together in an inclusive environment that supports new and experienced players alike.
We are looking forward to a camp built around inclusion, collaboration and meaningful engagement — helping players connect, learn from one another and continue growing the wheelchair rugby community across different disciplines and experience levels.
We’re proud to be supporting Ricky Rimmer and the team at Stockholm och Upplands Parasportförbund alongside their partners, and grateful for the opportunity to play a part in what promises to be a positive and exciting weekend for the sport.
This is an important milestone for our Northampton Saints community, and we are excited to see the impact of the weekend both on and off the court.
