Our Story
Our aim is to provide safe, fun gymnastics, acro and tumbling sessions for all abilities and ages! We are passionate about coaching and seeing the progress each and every individual makes at our club! We started with 1 recreational session of 18 children and have grown into an amazing, fun, friendly club with incredible opportunities for all our gymnasts including award programmes whe
re certificates can be earned by completing various skills in each level and seasonal and annual events for all to get involved in. We also have various competition programmes available to every Jumpz Gymnast. Our Recreational Competition Programme is for those new to competitions and attending our recreational sessions - thes gymnasts will be eligable to enter all our in-house local competitions as well as our annual championships if they wish to do so. Our Development Competition Programme is suitable for more advanced gymnasts and these gymnasts are eligible to enter local, National and International competitions through our affiliated governing bodies UKG and USAIGC. We are extremely proud to have 100% of our Development Gymnasts Qualify for the World Championships in the USA since we joined this programme in 2018. In 2018 we travelled to Orlando, USA and we had 10 gymnasts attend the world Championships and 3 of these amazing gymnasts qualified for event finals in Floor and Vault coming 1st, 5th and 6th in their age groups! An outstanding achievement for these gymnasts and our club who (at the time) trained in a sports hall without competition standard equipment! This is testament to the commitment and dedication from all our gymnasts and our team of coaches. We have travelled all over the country to compete and perform where our gymnasts have enjoyed meeting other gymnasts and having sleepovers at other clubs as well as learning from their peers and making more gymnastics friends! We have a 6 tiered development programme and gymnasts are sponsored by Jumpz when they reach the top 2 levels and receive extra training sessions to further their advancement. Once gymnasts have reached the 4th stage of development there is an opportunity to join our Performance Squad ‘Jumpz Jemz’ who learn and train throughout the year to showcase at Fetes, Festivals, Theatres and all Jumpz Events. At Jumpz we have our highest qualified coaches teaching all abilities from our recreational new starters to our highest level of development squad gymnasts to ensure the very best coaching is available for every gymnast regardless of level. We are also proud to help our gymnasts gain experience in coaching and have many junior coaches who help at most of our sessions and currently we have paid for five level 1 coaches, two judges and our highest level coaches funded their own qualifications over the last 20 years and we are proud to have three level 4 high performance coaches leading all our sessions! We have annual events for all gymnasts to enjoy including our Annual Club Competition, Christmas Party, Easter and Summer open days, Summer and Christmas Fayres as well as our end of year Presentation Awards Evening where all Jumpz Gymnasts are invited to showcase their skills in front of our family and friends audience! This event is getting bigger and bigger each year and finishes with various certificates and awards including trophies for “Gymnast of the Year” for both Recreational and Development Gymnasts. We run our sessions throughout the year and provide fun themed sessions during the school holidays including mini competitions which are a great way to introduce the children to the competitive side of gymnastics but carried out in a fun child friendly way with every participant receiving a certificate. We also have surprise 'well done' postcards at every sessions for all coaches to give out for any postive outcome from any of our participants such as 'first roll', 'improved skill', 'encouraging others' etc
