I’ve always wanted to host a retreat.

When I stepped back from the coaching world two years ago, there were so many things I’d fallen out of love with.

👎The endless algorithm changes and reduction in reach on multiple platforms.
👎The BS from others in the industry and the endless secret/magic formulas.
👎The overwhelm and distractions from being online in general.

All of that was about marketing the business - not the work itself.

I still love supporting women to grow their businesses and change their lives.

But as a business coach how could I teach strategies I no longer even wanted to implement myself?

I’ve never asked a client to do something I wasn’t already doing. That would feel completely inauthentic to me.

Yes, I could go back to teaching the same strategies - because they still work, and they still make money. But those same things also led me straight into burnout.

By the end I couldn’t see what was right for me and my business because of all the noise.

All the other coaches sharing their big wins, strategies, goals.

Always chasing the next shiny thing.

How could I even know what was actually right for me? And I know others feel the same.

When we spend so much time on technology, we silence our own inner voice and bombard our brain with noise.

Is it any wonder so many people feel anxious, overwhelmed, and ready to quit? And many have over the last few years.

That's why I'll be coming back to the online world in a different way. I'll be much more intentional when it comes to creating content and how I show up.

💫I'm going to post when I feel inspired to say something, rather than when I'm meant to.

💫I'm going to focus on YouTube for evergreen growth, so that my content isn't lost forever after a few days.

💫I'll be using AI to repurpose those long form videos into short form for other platforms.

💫And overall I’ll be much more careful with where I spend my time and energy.

Because simple can build a business too.

And that’s exactly what I want to show you.

The last 2-3 years have been an absolute sh*t show. That's the truth.💩

But I've never been a wallower. I genuinely don't see the point in feeling sorry for myself. It achieves nothing and is a waste of time.

BUT I do feel like I've been living inside a cloud. (They call it England 😆)

2 years ago I closed my business. A business I loved and built over 7 years, not because I wanted to but because I didn't have the mental capacity to do it how I'd been doing it, or figure out an alternative.

And for the last 2 years I've done a bunch of different things but nothing that felt as much “me” as being a business coach, building communities and supporting women to achieve their goals.

The marketing strategies that I used before were all about sharing yourself online. And for the last 2 years that felt impossible for me.

Going through really hard life s**t, doesn't feel inspirational and when other people are involved it's not even appropriate or ok to share the details.

Authenticity means everything to me. Showing up as a fake or half version of myself just was not an option.

My energy became lower and lower and the anxiety spiral got worse and worse until I had to walk away.

Thats how it happened for me.

And the last 2 years have felt like swimming through mud. Trying different things but never really feeling like I could be myself 100% like I could as a coach.

I had the idea for digital detox retreats years ago. Because when I first started on my downward spiral mentally I would scroll and scroll and my anxiety would get worse and worse…

I knew my phone was making me feel like sh*t, but I couldn't stop myself. I was addicted.

And I know I'm not the only one.

I stepped back from social media completely for months.

And it helped.

But my full digital detox experience was even more impactful.

I don't think you can quite imagine how you feel with ZERO technology for 5 days.

How different you feel about yourself.
How many ideas you have.
How creative you feel.
How inspired you feel.
How you can hear your own inner voice again.
How you gain so much clarity.
How you suddenly know what you need to do.

It's truly magical.

We are so overwhelmed with information constantly. Everyone elses goals, wins, opinions, ideas, strategies, constantly in our faces.

How can we possibly know what WE really want?

Now I've finally reached that place that I've always got to eventually in my life.

When bad thing happen, when life doesn't go to plan.

Eventually I manage to figure out what I was learning or what the universe was showing me.

Technology is beautiful and amazing and life changing.

But it's also destructive and toxic and draining.

I've seen both sides of what it can do for a person. The best and the worst and I've seen how life changing it can be to remove it completely for a limited time.

I knew I'd never go back to exactly what I'd done before, I knew I would have a different mission and lesson, I just didn't know what it would be until now.

I'll be sharing more in the coming weeks but here's what's coming.

Months ago Mike booked us this amazing train experience with a 7 course meal 🩵

It's been an absolutely awful week for me. I lost my best friend on Sunday and spent most of the week in bed.

But I knew he would want me to go and enjoy myself.

When we got onto the train we realised our whole carriage was full of daffodils.

Daffodils just happen to be my wonderful friend Gary's favourite flower. They were all over the walls and ceiling. One of his last posts on FB was about how excited he was to see the daffodils coming out 💔

Like he was with us for the day 🧡

Rob White's career transitioned from Close Protection security and recycling business ventures to a pivotal role in youth mentorship, driven by his involvement in the boxing community. Recognised for his potential as a role model, he embarked on further education to become a qualified mentor. This led to the establishment of Rob White Mentoring Ltd, offering bespoke mentorship to young individuals facing challenges or seeking direction.

Motivated by the personal tragedy of his brother Eddie's death due to knife crime, Rob has dedicated himself to combating this issue. He developed a knife crime prevention and awareness workshop, incorporating guest speakers and first aid training, to educate young people on the consequences of knife possession and provide them with support strategies.

Rob and his team are advocating for the inclusion of knife crime awareness and first aid in the school curriculum, believing this to be crucial in making a societal difference.

**Some stuff that's happened over the last few months while I've been off FB**

✅ ️I accidentally got a job... 😆

Proving that old saying about applying for things you don't think you're actually qualified for.

I saw the job while looking for a friend. I was ill in bed and it was the last day you could apply, so I thought why not.

It was a Business Lecturer job and I have no official teaching experience... But I was offered the job 😅

I didn't accept the full time position because it was too much with the Business aswell and they then came back and asked me what I'd like to do! So I'm starting on Monday working 2 half days and 1 full day 😆

I get to teach Marketing & Events Management. The 2 parts I enjoy most. And I don't have to work before 11am 😜

I'm not sure quite how I find myself in these perfect situations... but there you are 🤣

✅️ I accidentally got myself a radio show 😅

So I was interviewed on radio a few months ago and really enjoyed it.

I sent off an email to the station owner and asked if there were any other opportunities.

He invited me in for a meeting and after a short chat offered me the Wednesday show! 😆🤯😂

Obviously I said yes and worried about HOW after because that's what I do so I start on Wednesday this week 😆

✅️ I hired a chef & a driver for Nourished 🥳

As I am now doing other things I realised it was time to start my scaling plan for Nourished 😉

Which starts with freeing up my time by hiring a chef and a delivery driver.

Hiring staff is scary! It's hard relying on other people but I'm excited for where this will take the business 🥰

🥳 So that's my little update. Saves me telling all my friend and family one by one 🤣

It's funny because when I decided I wanted to step away from the online world, one of my big goals was to become part of my local community instead of just the international online business community.

I seem to be Manifesting opportunities at a rate I can't even cope with 🤣

Never been so busy in my life 😆

Enjoying every second of it! Now I just need winter to be over and life will be good 😝
