WMKC Rd 3.
So this was Ellis's first Motorsport UK race weekend at Whilton mill kart circuit up against 44 other Honda cadets.
Saturday practice day went well except for a problem with the brakes which made Ellis spin a fair few times. The day also gave Ellis a chance to see some of the people he'd be racing against on Sunday as long as they were even numbered as group split into odds n evens.
Ellis also has to race with #64 instead of the usual #46 and on novice plates as he is new to MSUK racing.
Race day.
There were 5 heats with each person doing 3 heats of random grid positions. Novices alway start at the back.
Ellis was out in heat 2.
Started 20th got a good start & made loads of good overtakes and finished 9th 💥
Heat 3, was next and Ellis.
This time grid position 18. Once again a great start and more super overtaking got him 8th place finish 💪.
Ellis got a bit of a break and then was back out in Heat 5.
Started right at the back in 21st position. Great driving again earned him 11th position.
The points Ellis got from the heats earned him a grid spot in the final of 12th place 👌10 places ahead of the next novice.
All Ellis had to do is drive a clean race and get top novice.
Lights out and off he went. Challenging for positions and gaining places lap after lap coming home in 8th position and winning 💥TOP NOVICE! 💥🏁🏁🏆
What a great day and once again a big thank you to the guys at VENOM RACE Engines for all their support and faith in Ellis 🙏.

Update part Deux!
As well as Fulbeck sprint series we went to Red Lodge kart circuit to compete in the UK IKR championship round 3.
Saturday practice day was wet wet wet in the morning 🌧️. Afternoon it dried up but Ellis's kart still had the misfire he suffered at Fulbeck a couple of weeks earlier. So Saturday evening we drove home and went to see Tom RACE Engines. After a bit of head scratching Tom worked it out and off we went ready for race day.
Qualified mid pack but improved through the heats. Final arrived and Ellis drove super hard and finished 4th! 🏁. So after all the mechanical issues at Fulbeck and the Saturday practice we left Red Lodge very happy driver n mechanic 😃👍
After Ellis's success at Red Lodge we decided to enter Round 4 held at Shenington kart circuit.
Saturday practice went well with some very strong drivers.
Sunday race day.
Qualified 5th
Heat 1- finished 4th
Heat 2- 2nd
Heat 3- 1st yay!!!
Final- super close racing with the lead changing several time but Ellis got in front and drove the wheels off the kart to take the win 🏁⚡🥇🏆💪
Tears in the eyes moment for dad!

Hi everyone, sorry for the lack of updates on Ellis's karting. Anyway I'll do a quick summary and then hopefully keep update after 🙈🤞
After our try out of the Honda engine and chassis thanks to Karl n Tom VENOM RACE Engines at Whilton mill, we decided to give that class a try.
First off after our one test day we headed up to Fulbeck sprint series a one day race. Testing seemed to go ok and so did qualifying. Heat 1, Ellis had a good run and thoroughly enjoyed the racing. Unfortunately Heat 2 and the final Ellis DNF'd due to a mysterious misfire in the engine. Still Ellis enjoyed the day and said he wanted to keep doing that championship.
Ellis finished 9th in the May round.
4th in this month's (June) round plus received a trophy 🏆 for his efforts.

Been a long wait but finally we have made it to a track for much needed seat time!
Gorgeous sunny day at Whilton Mill Go Karting and Outdoor activities.
Mixed day with set up issues, the clutch letting go and driver fatigue!

Awesome day today @ Autosport International Show.
Saw some amazing cars and all things you need in the Motorsport world!
The live arena was spectacular! I had the exhaust fume taste in my mouth for ages after 😂.
At one point I even saw some Star Wars storm troopers doing crazy acrobatics n break dancing! 😲 Probably for YouTube! 🤔
I need to get out in the kart again soon!!!!!
