Northants Netball Performance NCNA Development Programme for U13/15s. Building and equipping netball skills👌🏽for the game to come

The England Netball Player Development Pathway begins with U13s firstly, then U15s. Following from the U15s in County, girls who have been progressing well in their development will be nominated to trial with the VNSL Franchise (Loughborough Lightning). These trials are usually held in January with the U15 County Lead/Coach doing the nominations; so an athlete is only eligible to trial for the Lig

htning U15 Academy if she is already part of a County Programme. If and when selected, girls will train together and then compete in a VNSL Tournament held in August to end the season. The next step after U15 will be the U17 PDP where the girls get the opportunity to trial (open trial) for any VNSL Franchise (check their websites for trial dates) of their choice and will train with that Franchise if selected. The Player Development Pathway trains term time some Tuesday mornings and/or Wednesday evening at the Northampton High School from September to May each year. (An up to date schedule will be placed here for the 2023-24 season.) In addition to training, the girls will also have match play opportunities, access to S&C Specialist, Nutritionist, lab testing with data analysis to support their developmental journey throughout the season.
