ANNOUNCEMENT

A bitter sweet ending to 2025, unfortunately I have made the decision to close the doors at Optima Performance, however a new door opens as I step into Xcel Motorsport to support them in their successes going forward!

I would like to thank every customer, supplier, mechanic family and friends that have supported Optima Performance over the years!

Whilton Mill Round 7 🔥

A weekend of strong pace throughout, unfortunately not the final results our drivers deserved!

Dąbek was our highest placed driver in senior, gaining 6 into P14 for the final! Pikula had finished both heats in the top 12, however an unfortunate DNF in the final. Rands also gained 15 in one of his heats but some bad luck at times!

Harry and Charlie Myers both had some strong heat results and gained several places, with Charlie taking P4 in heat 1, while Harry gained 9 and 11 in his heats. Unfortunate final for them both despite their good speed!

PFI Round 5 🏆

Charlie Myers took to the podium in the junior final, after taking a heat win too, showing strong pace across all conditions! Harry Myers rounded out his weekend in the top 12, another strong result for him!

Brown claimed the victory on track in the final, however a penalty dropped him down the order! Harris had a personal best weekend, eventually finishing the weekend in a strong P7! Dąbek also raced in the top 10 throughout the weekend, however a tough final and penalty in the final.

Whilton Mill Round 6 ⚡️

Harry Myers had a tough set of heats, however came through really strong to gain several places into a P12 finish in the final 🚀 an unlucky day for Charlie Myers despite his strong pace throughout and topping practice 1!

Dąbek also had a strong final, taking a brilliant top 10 result after gaining 8 places ⚡️ with Harris also climbing up 7 into the top 12, a great result for them both! Pikula had a tough day despite his pace, eventually managing to gain several places towards the top 15 too!

Fusion Motorsport also in attendance with us over the weekend had a strong weekend, with Richardson taking the win, Woodward in P4 and Khera in P8! Clarke also finished on the podium in Waterswift, with Davidson rounding out the top 5!

Kartmasters 2025 ⚡️

Overall a strong weekend at PFI for the GP Plate! Braithwaite finished all of his heats consistently in the top 15, and racing in the top 10 at times, followed by gaining 5 places into the top 12 in the final! It was a tough final, however he managed to cross the line in the top 20!

Myers had a really strong Friday, finishing his first two heats in the top 10, also gained 9 places in his final heat! It was an unfortunate DNF for him in the prefinal, however he came back strong for a top 20 finish and gaining 18 places before a penalty!

Great speed from both of our drivers across the whole weekend 🚀

Last weekend was a double header weekend 👀

Several drivers in the team headed to Genk for the next round of the BNL series, with some strong pace throughout the weekend! Unfortunately results didn’t come as the drivers deserved, but despite this they all progressed well throughout the weekend and adapted to the track quickly!

Meanwhile, at Whilton Mill for Round 5, Dąbek took yet another personal best weekend, taking P7 in the final of a really tough grid! Pikula followed closely behind in P8, after a really consistent day! Rands recovered well into a top 10 finish too, gaining 9 places!

Victory at the Kimbolton Festival 🏆

A superb weekend for the whole team at the Kimbolton Festival, with Brathwaite coming out of the weekend victorious, claiming the ‘K’ Plate 🥇he stormed through the weekend taking heat and the prefinal wins before taking the victory in the final! Dąbek and Pikula also had a successful weekend, ending in P5 and P6, with personal best results throughout the weekend!

Charlie Myers was close to victory too after leading some laps of the final, he undercoated dropped down the order but managed to fight back to P4 🚀 Harry Myers also with a personal best weekend, progressing well and eventually finishing in P7 👊

Ready for a day of action in the heat after a productive day of testing yesterday, followed by qualifying 👊

TVKC Round 3 🔥

Strong pace and top 10s at PFI for our seniors 🚀 Brathwaite had a storming final, gaining 15 places into P7 after a mixed set of heats! Dąbek claimed a top 10 finish in her first heat and climbed the order up 7 places for a P14 finish in the final 👏 Rands raced his way to the top 6 of the final, an incident pushed him down the order and finally raced back to the top 10, however a penalty unfortunately dropped him down the order again.

After a tough qualifying, Charlie Myers gained 8 places into the top 12 in both of his heats, ending a tough final in P17. Harry Myers once again progressed well, racing comfortably in the top 20, however penalties hindered his positions overall.

Whilton Mill Round 3 🔥

Charlie Myers managed to have a consistent weekend in the top 5 throughout the heats, an unfortunate final for him dropping to the back of the pack in the early stages of the race, however he fought back to take P13. Harry Myers had a really strong set of heats, finishing both in the top 12, with some of his best heat results to date at Whilton Mill, however bad luck for him in the final. Carlton-Senior had a strong weekend overall, setting personal bests after some time out the kart and claiming some top 12 results too, penalties unfortunately dropped him down the order at times.

Pikula had a really strong heat 2, taking P6, however a challenging rest of the day for him despite the good pace after a 6 week break of racing for him!

We also supported the Fusion drivers for the weekend, with Khera taking the victory on track 🏆 and Musk in the top 5 consistently 🚀
