Here at Thorpe Farm we offer our Andrews Bowen gallop, water treadmill, salt therapy room and cross country schooling field for hire.

We also offer rehab and holiday livery plus horsebox and motorhome hire!

How does the comfort of a modern, 6-beth campervan for Scone Palace International Horse Trials or Burghley Horse Trials sound…?

We have motorhome availability for both - 27th to the 30th of August for Scone Palace and 3rd to the 6th of September for Burghley - but they won’t hang around for long!

You can bring up to two well behaved pooches along too and the motorhome is a lot more comfortable than a tent, and way more convenient than staying off-site!

We know that lots of you are struggling with dry conditions on bridleways and in fields, but if you’re able to box to a gallop, summer doesn’t need to stop your canter and gallop work!

Our gallops always provide a perfect and consistent surface for horses needing fitness work, interval training or conditioning sessions.

Good luck to all of our customers competing at the Defender Bramham Horse Trials this week! 🍀

We'll be cheering on every horse and rider as they take on one of the highlights of the eventing calendar, alongside some exciting showjumping classes, showing, Young Event Horse qualifiers and the competitive Pony Club events!

When your horse is recovering, sometimes you might need to ‘hand over the reins’ to a place with the facilities and experienced staff you might not have access to. Here at Thorpe Farm, we work closely with owners, vets and physios to create tailored rehabilitation programmes, and keep you informed every step of the way.

With staff on site, the water treadmill and salt therapy facilities and spacious stables, we're here to support both you and your horse during the rehabilitation process.

🏇 Looking to build fitness, stamina and recovery in a structured way?

Interval training on the gallops is one of the most effective ways to improve your horse's cardiovascular fitness, helping them cope better with the demands of training and competition.

By alternating periods of faster work with recovery intervals, you can gradually increase fitness without overloading your horse; while also monitoring how quickly they recover between efforts.

Our gallops feature distance markers throughout, making it easy to calculate speed, distance and time so you can accurately pace your sessions and track your horse's progress over time!
