🏏 LPL UK 2026 – LEAGUE STAGE COMPLETE! 🇱🇰🇬🇧
After months of cricket, travelling, organising, competing and learning, the league stage of the Lankan Premier League UK 2026 has officially come to an end.

🥈 Manchester Lions Cricket Club — 8 pts | NRR +0.485
🥉 Sheffield Sri Lankan Cricket Club — 4 pts | NRR -0.330

Congratulations to Lankan Lions Yorkshire, who finish the league stage at the top of the table with 5 wins from 6 matches! 👏🦁
But this season has been about much more than the final standings.
For the first time, we took what had previously been friendly cricket between our Sri Lankan teams and brought it together into a structured league competition. It was a new journey for all of us, and organising it was certainly not an easy task.
Arranging fixtures, finding and booking grounds, travelling between cities, organising players and officials, managing scoring and administration, and making sure matches could go ahead required a huge amount of effort behind the scenes.
There were challenges along the way and, as with anything being done for the first time, there are things we have learned and areas we know we can improve. We learned by doing. Those lessons are valuable, and they will help us make the Lankan Premier League UK stronger, better organised and even more enjoyable in the seasons ahead.
A massive THANK YOU to all four participating teams — Lankan Lions Yorkshire, Manchester Lions, Sheffield Lions and Pontefract Sri Lankans — and every player who represented their team throughout the season. ❤️🏏
A special thank you goes to all the team captains, organisers and administrators who worked behind the scenes. From arranging grounds and coordinating players to travelling, communicating and handling match-day responsibilities, your contribution made this first league season possible.
Thank you also to the umpires, scorers, ground staff, sponsors, supporters, families and everyone else who contributed in any way throughout the season. Every contribution, big or small, helped us reach this point.
Most importantly, this league has brought Sri Lankan cricketers and communities from different parts of the UK together through the game we all love. 🇱🇰❤️🏏
Season 2026 has given us the foundation.
The experience has given us the lessons.
Now we build from here. 💪
Hopefully, everything we have learned this year will help us deliver an even better LPL UK season in 2027.
