💙 Drowning Prevention Week 💙

This week, our swimmers have been learning valuable water safety skills that could one day save a life.

From understanding the effects of cold water shock and learning to control their breathing, to floating on their backs and calling for help, they have been practising how to stay safe if they unexpectedly enter the water.

They've also been learning how to help others safely by shouting for help, encouraging someone to float, and throwing a floating aid rather than entering the water themselves.

Learning to swim is about so much more than swimming lengths, it's about building confidence, awareness, and skills for life.

Well done to all our swimmers for embracing these important lessons, taking off the goggles and helping to spread the message of water safety.

Calling all Stage 7, 8 & 9 swimmers! 🌊

We heard you.... If you're ready to take on a bigger challenge and achieve your next distance badge, that's not possible to achieve within your lesson, join us this Saturday from 3:00pm for our Distance Badge Swim Session.

Swimmers will have the opportunity to complete badges ranging from 1000m all the way up to 5000m 👏🏼
