Wow, what a weekend at the club, we hosted the 2025 Norfolk County Rifle Association Winter Open.

There was a great turnout, with some fantastic shooting taking place, as well as enjoying some great snacks and camaraderie!

We would like to extend our thanks to the NCRA for letting us host this event and Burn for laying on the catering for the whole weekend (and she shot pretty well on top of that!!).

Our thanks also go to the club committee and the members who helped setup, RCO and put away for the event.

We had shooters of all ages from many walks of life taking part and, I hope, everyone had a good weekend.

A couple of competitors travelled up from Suffolk and gave a solid performance and an example to aim towards, thank you for coming along, it was great having you at our club. And we had competitors from other Norfolk clubs as well which was great to see, hopefully we can build on this event to make it bigger and better next time.

Keep your eyes peeled for more events like this being held at the club going forwards, we proved with this one that we can do it and identified any issues that need to be addressed for future events.

Results for the weekend are below as well as a couple of pictures of the event.

(Pictures of competitors may follow once we have permission to use them)

🏆 A great showing from NWRPC members at the recent Three Counties Triangular Match, representing Norfolk!
💥 Shooting .22LR prone on a tough range, they pulled together to help Norfolk field a strong, competitive team.

Our 25 yard gallery range (range 3) has recently received un upgrade consisting of a new roof due to succumbing to the ravages of time, with new lighting also now been installed. This now improves the facility for our members wanting to shoot live fire and air guns.

Without the hardwork and dedication from a few willing members of the club, giving up their own time, skills and efforts, this wouldn't have been achieved. So a huge thank you goes to them!

This gallery range has still more benefits to come, with a toilet facility and a safe break out space to enjoy for a chat and cuppa with fellow members. We can't wait to see this evolve.

If you are interested in taking up shooting as a hobbie or even to start competition shooting, come and visit us on a Thursday evening between 7 and 9pm!

North Walsham Rifle & Pistol Club was once again well represented at the 2024 Bisley National Rifle Meeting held in Brookwood, Surrey between the 10th and 18th August 2024.

The Bisley National Rifle Meeting is an annual event that gathers all of the best smallbore (.22lr) shooters from across the UK and other parts of the world to compete together in various competitions to win silverware, medals, certificates and recognition as being a leading athelete in this sport.

The athletes are catagorised into several classes X, A, B, C and D with X being the athletes that are recognised as being amongst the very best in the sport, as recognised by the NSRA (National Small-Bore Rifle Association).

The competition is open to smallbore shooters of all abilities and is a great way to participate in the sport, experience competition and meet fellow athletes in the sport in both the competitive and social aspects of the sport.
