All at the club are sad to hear of the passing of former player Roger Cudlip. Playing front row, Roger was a key part of the club during the 80s.

We are delighted to welcome our new coach Nathan Gosling to NTRFC.

With a huge amount of experience and a personality in keeping with the clubs values, we are really looking forward to the season ahead!

Here is what Nathan had to say about joining the club:

I am proud and excited to be taking on a coaching role at North Tawton RFC.

Rugby has been a huge part of my life for more than 40 years, both as a player and a coach, and the opportunity to become part of such a passionate and family orientated community focused club is something I am genuinely honoured to do.

Throughout my coaching journey, I have been fortunate to work with clubs and representative teams including Brixham RFC, Crediton RFC, Torrington RFC, Barnstaple RFC, North Devon DPP, and Devon U20’s. These experiences have allowed me to work with players of all ages and abilities.

My coaching philosophy is simple: create an environment where players can enjoy the game, challenge themselves, learn from mistakes, and develop both on and off the field. I believe the best teams are built on trust, hard work, creativity, and a shared love of the game.

Thank you to everyone at the club for the warm welcome. I can't wait to get started and be part of the journey ahead.

🚨 The RFU has made the decision to delay the start of grassroots rugby until w/c 21st September at the earliest. 🚨

Following the heatwave pitches remain 'hard and unsuitable for safe full-contact activity', with this in mind and with no 'lengthy spells of rain currently forecast' a decision has been made to postpone the start of competitive fixtures.

With our first pre season game cancelled, we although disappointing, are in support of this move.

A statement on the start of the competitive community rugby season.

Unfortunately next weeks fixture vs Launceston II has been cancelled due to the unplayable ground conditions.

Player safety is paramount and no point getting injuries when the ground is like concrete.

Disappointing but with little rain forecast it does not look to improve between now and then

Ryan has made the decision to try his hand at a higher level of rugby next season. We wish him well and hope he returns to hit that 200 cap milestone for the club in the future.
