Not only has he done a brilliant job, but he also came out on a Sunday afternoon to make sure everything was finished in time. Support like this means a lot to the club and helps keep things moving forward. 🧱

Today, as a club, we said our heartfelt farewell to Blondie. Although he is no longer with us in person, his spirit will always remain with us—both at the club and in the hearts of his friends and family, to whom we send all our love.

🏏 Behind the scenes at the club! 🪏

Cricket season might not be here just yet, but the work doesn’t stop. This weekend we’ve been busy preparing for our new clubhouse, putting in cables that will power lights 💡, fridges 🧊 and everything else the new space will need.

A big thank you to TFM Hire for the turf cutter and RSM Maintenance for the mini digger that helped make the job possible 👏

This project is all about improving the club for our players, members, visiting teams and the wider community ❤️

Yesterday on a very sad day for the club North Scarle Ladies played our very good friends Lindum Cricket Club After a minute silence and a round of applause as Blondie would have wanted they took to the wicket without a full team and pulled off a outstanding win in Blondie’s honour.
A massive well done ladies on your first ever attempt at indoors cricket this year and a special thanks to Charlotte Harper for taking on the running of this new section of the ladies. Onwards and upwards ladies UTS

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Andy O’Brian, known to us all as Blondie.
For over 50 years, Blondie was at the very heart of North Scarle Cricket Club — whether out on the field or working tirelessly behind the scenes. He faced his recent illness with the same quiet determination and courage that he brought to the game he loved so much.
Cricket wasn’t just something Blondie played; it was part of who he was. His passion, his stories, his humour, and his unwavering support helped shape the club into what it is today. Generations of players and members across Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire had the privilege of playing alongside him or simply enjoying his company, and all of us are better for it.
He will be deeply missed, but his presence will always be felt around the ground, in the changing rooms, and in the memories we share.
As a club, we send our heartfelt condolences and love to his family and close friends at this incredibly difficult time.

NSCC ladies tried something new this morning and took on indoor cricket 🏏💥 As we like to say, we came second 😂 but had an absolute blast!

Very different to outdoor cricket in both the field and with the bat — lots learned and plenty to take into the rest of the season 💪✨

🏏 End of Season Celebration! 🏏

Last night we wrapped up an incredible cricket season with a brilliant evening at Rose Orchard in Collingham, who did a fantastic job catering for over 30 of us — thank you for a top-notch meal and great service!

We celebrated our standout players, our most improved, and everyone who’s worked tirelessly behind the scenes all season — from fundraising and wicket maintenance to the all-round miracle workers who keep the club running smoothly.

It’s been a fantastic season from start to finish — here’s to an even better 2026! 🥂 🐷
