A little change to our pop up evening catering weekend plans…

🌯 FRIDAY 5pm - 8pm: Streetwraps will be with us, so come along, grab something delicious and enjoy an evening by the canal!

Unfortunately, there’ll now be no evening catering Saturday or Sunday this weekend — but The Lock Inn will still be OPEN until 9pm 🍻🍾🍷

Join Georgina and George for a relaxed stroll along the beautiful Bridgwater & Taunton Canal. Discover a little of its fascinating history, see how a lock is actually operated, and find out more about the canal we’re working so hard to protect.

☀️ WHAT A SUMMER! ☀️

What an incredible summer it’s been at Somerset Boat Centre!

From sunny days on the water and relaxing narrowboat cruises to long evenings by the canal, great food, drinks and plenty of laughter — we’ve loved seeing the Boat Centre so busy and full of life.

A huge thank you to every single one of you who has visited, booked a paddle craft or cruise, joined us for food and drinks, brought friends and family along, or simply stopped by to enjoy a little time beside the water. Your support really does mean so much to us.

🍂 And now, as those long summer evenings begin to give way to the cooler, colourful days of autumn, we change our seasonal hours.

From Monday 7th September, throughout September & October:

Monday – Wednesday: CLOSED
Thursday: 9am – 5pm
Friday – Sunday: 9am – 9pm

There’s still plenty of time to enjoy life by the canal — and autumn here can be rather beautiful. 🍁

There are already 34 members from across the NHS and Emergency Services enjoying these sessions — and we’d love to welcome more.

Join us FREE every other Sunday at 7.30am at Somerset Boat Centre for relaxed paddleboarding sessions exclusively for NHS & frontline Emergency Services staff.

A chance to switch off, get outside, enjoy some gentle exercise and spend time with people who understand the pressures of the job. 🌿

No experience needed and absolutely no cost. All equipment is provided, with kayaks and canoes available too if paddleboarding isn’t for you.
