Belgium 🇧🇪

Some Belgian Pro League action while away this last week.

In Gent, a calm and collected Hugo bagsman Cuypers penalty cancelled out a very early RUSG goal. A gorgeous stadium for a gorgeous city.

Back in Brussels, Anderlecht hosted a goalless but entertaining game which should’ve ended up about 3-3. Anyone heading to Brussels in the near future, the club shop ‘outlet’ was phenomenal.

Sea Girls have teamed up with Classic Football Shirts ahead of their upcoming Hometown UK headline tour.

They will sponsor local Sunday league teams in each of the cities they play, nominated by their fans.

As part of this, they also released 40 of these beauties, with all proceedes going to .

It’s very quickly become my favourite shirt in my collection, see you in Hull !

Tromsø IL - The most northern professional football club in the world!

A proper footy ground with a Gillingham-esque open away end. Some Chelsea fans may be more than aware of this after their famous snow filled game back in 1997.

Tromsø are back in the Eliteserien after being promoted as champions from Division 1 in 2020. On their return they finished a very safe 12th, which is also where they currently sit this season after just 3 games.

A real shame I didn’t get to see a game here, oh well, gives me an excuse to come back when Hull draw them in the 2050/51 champions league.

A historic season for Galatasaray as they completed a move from the Ali Sami Yen Stadi to the Turk Telekom Arena (now called NEF stadium under sponsorship).

On the pitch, Galatasaray finished 8th in this seasons Süper Lig. In the Turkish Cup, they were knocked out in the Quater Finals. Before this, the final group game vs Beypazari Sekerspor was the final one at Ali Sami Yen Stadium. The game finished 3-1 to Galatasaray.

In the Europa league, they made it all the way to the play off round where they faced Karpaty Lviv. Over two legs the tie finished 3-3, with the Ukrainian side going through on away goals. Lions = tamed.

A classic AC Milan shirt worn by legends of the game. This particular season saw a squad including big names like Kaka, Pirlo, Nesta, Maldini, Inzaghi and Ronaldinho.

The Carlo Ancelotti side finished 3rd in this seasons Serie A while reaching the Coppa Italia Round of 16.

Milan progressed through this seasons UEFA cup group stage after finishing 2nd in Group E. With Wolfsburg topping the group, the rest of Group E was made up of Braga, Portsmouth and Heerenveen. Milan were knocked out of the competition in the Round of 32 after drawing 3-3 with Werder Bremen, with Bremen progressing on away goals.

This season saw FC Groningen finish 5th in the Eredivisie, landing themselves in a play off for the second Dutch Europa League place. After beating Heracles, they eventually lost out to ADO Den Haag in the final. The two legged tie amazingly finished 6-6 on aggregate and needed penalties to decide.

This season saw the arrival of Serbian international Dušan Tadić. Groningen bought him from the Serbian Super League side Vojvodina for just £990,000. Bet he’s worth a bit more than that now.

That sponsor 😍 Classic tigs. Worn as the away strip during a season which saw Hull finish 14th in a Third Division which included teams such as Chester, York, Halifax, Brighton and Torquay.

The tigers’ top scorer this season was retired striker come kit man Jonny Eyre with a respectable 12 goals.

We had a great day at the Gilberdyke Christmas Fayre. We helped raise over £450 for Unique Friends and St Anne’s School.

The last pop up we did went down a treat so we’re back, and ready to do it all. over. again.

This event has been organised by Unique Friends. The Christmas Fayre will raise money for St Anne's and Unique Friends. All money raised will go back into providing activities for the children and young people who attend school and Unique Friends.
