We held our end of season awards night tonight at the Motherland Spice, good turnout from the lads after a relatively successful season, winning a trophy & massively improving the playing squad overall.

Winners on the night were :

🚨 PLAYER PATHWAY UPDATE 🚨

Our club pathway continues to grow stronger each season and we’re proud of the progress being made across every level of the club.

We now have:
⚽ 20 Youth Teams
⚽️ Growing Girls section
⚽ A Development Squad
⚽ A Newly Formed Amateur Team
⚽ Our First Team competing in the West of Scotland Football League Second Division

This structure creates a clear pathway for players throughout the club from grassroots football right through to senior level.

The aim is simple:
Develop local players, provide opportunities, and create a long-term future for the club both on and off the park.

A huge thank you goes to all of our coaches, volunteers, players, parents, and supporters who continue to help drive the club forward every single week.

The future is exciting and we’re only getting started.

Asafa League Result - Kilwinning United AFC 7-5 Annick

If ever a game summed up Annick, this would be it 😂

Couple hours before kick off only 8 bodies available, bringing in boys who don’t know eachother or haven’t played in a while just to get our last ever game as Annick to go ahead, but we managed to pull together an 11.

4-0 down early bells as usual but as always the boys rallied together and got us back to 4-2 to go in at half time with a fighting chance, back out early second half and got the third then from there it was a genuine basketball match at times with Kilwinning running out 7-5 winners.

Major credit to the lads turning up and putting a shift in, everyone of them were superb

A big well done to John Milroy, he scored a hattrick tonight and really wanted a mention on this post. What a player what a talent, we would be lost without him.

Credit to Kilwinning, top side with some real quality throughout there team. All the best to them & Castlepark in there final this Friday ⚽️

As we move onto Ardeer next year we hope we can continue and build on this season, hoping to keep players and add some real quality to try challenge the top teams in the league to make it as competitive as possible 👏🏽

Asafa League Fixture - Annick v Kilwinning United AFC

Last game of the season for the boys tomorrow against the one team we haven’t really tested atall this year.

We are most likely down to the barebones due to work commitments and boys out with injuries from Friday but it’ll be good to try and get as many of the original boys game time as possible for our last ever game as Annick 👏🏽

Get along and support the boys before the club goes onto a new venture in the pre season ⚽️ .

PureBuilt Cup Final - Annick 2-1 Irvine United

Big one lastnight for the boys and they turned up for it 👏🏽

We started the game well, leishman with a good run out wide early was then brought down with a sore one but he stepped up and put the ball into a dangerous area and the Irvine defender put it into his own goal, 1-0 after 3 mins 👏🏽 after that the boys had to then settle again as Irvine came forward looking for a quick response.
Just after the 10 minute mark we were forced into a early change when leishman took another sore one and couldn’t continue, on came Sean Lundy. From there on in the first half it was very much a battle, good chances for both teams at either end.

Second half started and the boys took in the information at half time and started really well, knocking the ball about and creating chances. Another sore one to TJ meant we were forced into another change with young Cammy coming on to replace him & not long after we got our second. Great play down the left which was then cut back to Ryan Clark who finished well, 2-0 Annick. Understandably from there Irvine threw everything at us, they never stopped and we ran out of legs a bit trying to get a foothold in the game again, on came Boydy Dev & NS to give us a bit of a lift and see the game out. A massive save from Lee to keep it at 2-0 aswell. Credit to Irvine they scored with about 15 to go & probably if am being honest looked like they were going to get another with there tails up but the boys went again and regrouped to see the game out.

Absolute massive for the club, first piece of silverware just as we take a new venture under the Ardeer name, perfect way to finish under Annick 💙

Shahs Man of the Match was Logan Craig, the big man is a Rolls Royce, absolutely dominant throughout winning everything and using his experience to get the boys over the line👏🏽

The whole team was excellent right through out, special mentions to Lee McClaughlin, Ross Mcvey, Dale Clark & Andy Calvert aswell in the back line limiting Irvine to very few clear cut chances.

PureBuilt Cup Final.

Annick AFC v Irvine United AFC

Big one on Friday for the lads, boys are looking forward to it.

We have competed well this year overall but fell away the last couple month so looking to put things right with lifting the first piece of silverware for the club 🏆⚽️ .

Be a tough game against a well organised and hungry Irvine team, who have improved massively over the course of the season.

Can’t beat Friday night football so if you’re at a loose end come down and support the boys👏🏽.
