Under 8 season summary!!

This is our 1st full season as a team with many incomings, outgoings, victories, defeats, laughter and crying,
If you’d of asked us last year at the beginning of this journey what would we class as a successful season we would of said just competing and not to get heavily beaten, these kids have gone and surpassed that by a million miles with 4 promotions in our own league within 2 mini seasons and winning 2 trophies on the way,
These kids have been brilliant aswel as hard work but not 1 player is at the same level as when they joined us and that’s credit to them in there development, they entered a summer league in another city and held there own but maybe after playing for a continuous year it’s taken its toll but nevertheless they’ve battled and finished 4th with nearly getting to another final, now it’s time to level up in football and maturity as we move on together in our next chapter at under 9’s junior football, albeit the mood swings, arguments and tantrums we are proud of you all and here’s to another year of football as a team!!! 🖤🧡⚽️🥇🏆🌟

Our team would just like to say thankyou, goodbye and good luck (not that you’ll need it) in your next chapter in football to Pheobe as she has played her last game for our Normanton Pro Stars team today and she moves on to play for Sheffield United now that she has agreed and signed her contract with them, I’m sure all our parents, players and coaches will agree she’s been an absolute breath of fresh air in her short time with us, who gives her all on that pitch and has run rings around many of our opponents ( 99% boys) and embarrassed them, to some grunts from the opposition parents and plenty of praise from all our opposition coaches and referees, She has been an amazing kid to coach, she never moans about anything we have asked of her even if sometimes it meant playing out of her preferred position, she just gets her head down, works hard, listens and sticks to any instructions given to her in matches and in training, she’s scored some beauty goals especially the one where she lobbed the keeper from nearly the half way line straight into the top corner, You will be greatly missed in our team by the parents, coaches and definitely the kids who have loved having you around even though you skinned them in training 😂😂, you will be very difficult to replace that’s for sure if not impossible which is a credit to you for just slotting straight into our team without any issues and you’ve set the bar higher for rest of the players to aim for, and I’m not going to lie she’s changed my whole perception of ever doubting a girl could play just as good if not better than a boy in junior football because she’s done exactly that in every single game not just with her vital goal contributions but also in her work ethic and defending aswel!!!!
We wish you all the success in the world and with your talent, skill set, work ethic and eye for goal I have no doubt you’ll go and smash it at Sheff Utd!!! ⚽️🖤🧡🌟🌟

After qualifying for the champions league from the summer league, today was tournament day and unfortunately we just fell short, in the final game of the group stage it was all in our own hands to book our place in the final but our lack of shooting in the final 3rd cost us, it’s been coming for weeks as our defence has gotten better our free attacking flow has suffered, a little break now to recuperate ready for the autumn league to begin and get back to how I know we can play!!! 🧡🖤⚽️
