RYA Northern Ireland To Promote and Protect Safe, Successful & Rewarding Boating in Northern Ireland

The Royal Yachting Association (RYA) is the UK Governing Body for sail and powerboat racing and the UK national authority for all forms of recreational and competitive boating including sailing, windsurfing, motor cruising, powerboating, sportsboating, inland boating and personal watercraft. Sailing is a healthy outdoor sport and lifetime activity open to people of all ages and abilities and can b

e enjoyed at whatever level suits the individual participant from athletic high performance dinghy racing and windsurfing to recreational cruising. It teaches young people self reliance, team working and judgement and instils confidence in taking informed risks in what can be a challenging yet highly safety-conscious environment. The voluntary club culture also provides an important social amenity in its community.

Do it scared.
Do it excited.

Be more like Cora!

The Peace Plus programme is in full swing, giving kids their very first chance to try sailing and it was a joy to see Cora challenge herself at .sailing.club

Well done to all the pupils from - you were brilliant and we hope you had loads of fun on the water

Lovely to interview Vincent and John from Castle Gardens Primary School.

Thanks to PEACE PLUS funding they (along with some of their fellow P7 pals) were able to enjoy a brilliant day out on Strangford Lough with Newtownards Sailing Club.

It’s what we love to see.

Here are a few pics and vids you can share to your stories from the day!
