Evening all, for those with qualifying times for summers. The next phase has opened for entries. No rush, it’s open until 5pm on the 6th July! We do have one more gala within the window.

Congratulations to all that have achieved times, we have a total of 59 events (so far)

What a fantastic weekend for Newtown Swimming Club at the Wrexham Spring Meet.
Over the two-day Level 2 meet, our 13 swimmers competed in an incredible 65 events, producing some outstanding results:
🏅 44 Personal Bests
🥇 9 Gold Medals
🥈 9 Silver Medals
🥉 10 Bronze Medals
⏱️ 4 additional qualifying times added to our Summer Championships tally

And top girl for Layla in the age 14 category - well done Layla!

While it's always exciting to see swimmers achieve Summer Championship qualification times, this weekend was about so much more than that. Every swimmer should be immensely proud of what they achieved. The commitment, determination and hard work shown by every member of the team was clear to see, and each performance contributed to a hugely successful weekend for the club. Many positives to take from every single race, well done all.
A huge thank you to Kate, Nicola and Lee for covering poolside and supporting our swimmers throughout the meet. We are also incredibly grateful to Rob and Beccie for officiating and also giving up their time to help make the competition possible.
Thank you as well to all of our coaches who work tirelessly week in, week out, preparing our swimmers for opportunities like this. The progress being made across the club is a reflection of the dedication and effort you put in every day.
As Volunteers' Week comes to an end, this feels like the perfect way to celebrate the amazing people who give their time to support our club. We simply couldn't do it without you.
So proud of every swimmer, coach, official, volunteer and supporter. There is so much to look forward to in the months ahead.
Back to training tomorrow... we go again! 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️

It’s Volunteers' Week 2026

From 1st–7th June, we're celebrating the incredible people who make Newtown Swimming Club possible.

Our volunteers give their time, energy, and expertise throughout the year, whether coaching poolside, officiating at galas, serving on the committee, helping with fundraising, organising events, or supporting swimmers and families behind the scenes.
Their dedication creates opportunities for our swimmers to learn, compete, grow in confidence, and enjoy being part of our club community.
Quite simply, we would be utterly lost without our volunteers. Each and every one of you is a superstar, and your commitment, enthusiasm, and hard work are at the heart of everything we do.

A huge thank you to all our volunteers, past (exceptionally important to remember) and present. Newtown Swimming Club is stronger because of you, and we are incredibly grateful for everything you do.
