EMPIRE YOUTH JIU JITSU IS BACK!

After the summer holidays, our Youth Jiu Jitsu classes are back in full swing — and it’s great to see everyone on the mats again!

Classes are open to 11-15 year olds, whether they’ve trained before or are completely new to martial arts.

We’re still taking on new students, so if your child wants to get fitter, learn practical skills, build confidence and become part of a great team, we’ve got spaces available.

Fantastic day today with Brett Johns visiting the gym to teach an MMA seminar. First Welsh fighter to compete in the UFC and top 15 ranked in the world, it was an absolute pleasure to host him today, he showed some great techniques, shared his approach to training and fighting philosophy, also couldn’t have been a nicer guy. The team had a blast, thank you mate.

Vibing on a Saturday morning with some movement and grip drills in seated guard. So many positions to work in jiu jitsu but if you can’t pass guard and get past their legs it doesn’t mean much. On the flip side, if your guard is easily passed, you’ll always be fighting from a deficit.
