The Ladies held their Open Lady Jean MacPherson 3 Ball Better Ball competition yesterday. Despite the very challenging conditions there was some amazing scoring by the winning team from Dufftown, Barbara Webster, Eileen Munro and Sharon Dunning with 60. Runners up were the home team of Jean Campbell, Ellen Cheyne and Lynn Foster on 66. Spot prizes were won by Helen Pebbles for closest to the pin at the 8th, Megan Ralph for the long drive, and Katie Hislop for nearest the pin in two shots at the 11th. Jane Humphries provided delicious and spectacular cupcakes which were greatly enjoyed by all. A special thank you to Richard, our Head Greenkeeper, and his assisstant Scott, for the superb presentation of the course and as ever a big THANK YOU to all our competitors. The club is indebted to the family of the late Lady Jean MacPherson and the Harris Tweed Shop for the prizes and their generous sponsorship of this competition.

Tonight we had the privilege of having PGA professional Lee Johnson join us and put our Thursday junior group through their paces - back to basics focusing on grip, posture and swing. Thank you so much Lee for giving us your time and expertise. The guys really enjoyed it and went away with lots to work on.

Rain, what rain? It'll take more than a bit of cold and wet weather to keep our juniors from coming to training! They are tough Highlanders for sure. The new all weather mats are an amazing addition to our training equipment, meaning we aren't hacking up the mud in conditions like this.

We have bought these with donations made from members and friends at our Golf Week last year, the support we have had for this programme is truly overwhelming and once again a huge thank you to everyone who has helped us make this happen.
