A lovely weekend with Carlos and Doug on their Learn to Lead course. With high freezing levels and tricky avalanche conditions on Sat we escaped the crowds and climbed on Upper Central Ridge on Sat.
Weaving between folks, seeking empty spaces for the guys first lead on Trump Towers.
And then an ascent of Fiaciall Coulouir on Monday with Carlos.

Thanks team and enjoy the new adventures that await!

A few days of skiing while the conditions are good. Creag Meagaidh yesterday with some intentions of climbing on the Southern aspect but it was plastered with more snow than expected. We dumped kit and had fun day over the tops and skiing the burn lines.

The snow on Cairngorm today was very good on the northern side. Skiing down the western aspects to the ciste was exceptional! The rising freezing level made the snow heavier later in the afternoon lower down.

So much snow! Hard work getting into Fiaciall Ridge yesterday. and his team put in a decent track and we joined in helping get to the ridge.

We decided to head back down the ridge and catch our tracks back to the car park to try and not break anymore trail over the corries.

Nice to bump into .reid99 too!

Thanks to Ben for giving the team a great weekend on their winter skills course over the weekend.

Moving around the mountains takes a lot of effort at the moment, lots of deep snow to wade through! Top effort from everyone πŸ™Œ

Calmer than expected till just after lunch, then a bit of Scottish 'Ming' for Tahlia, Alex, Matt and Nia. A full Scottish experience from wading, white room and spin drift sandwiches.

We also covered more serious topics like, planning, movement, navigation and even managed some carmponing on neve on the cas shoulder to finish the day.

Thanks for a top day, team πŸ‘Š

We would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year for 2026! πŸ₯³ πŸŽ‰ 🎊

25 was a blast, as with most years ups and downs. I had struggles with health through spring but seemed to have found the culprit and feeling better since. Thanks to friends, family and Rosie for putting up with me trying (and struggling) tagging along for adventures through that period. The doctors told me I'd potentially need to come to terms with not being able to exercise normally again! We got there eventually

I'd like to thank every single person who has been part of our year, particularly all of the inspirational, hard working and dedicated instructors and guides who have delivered fabulous adventures over a challenging season. And... the winters is looking good, especially with the return of the snow!! ❄️

We hope 2026 is a year to remember. We're looking forward to having everyone along for their adventures with us this year, from Skye to Sweden πŸ™Œ

Our first winter skills team out last weekend. Snow cover was limited but what was available was very good for cramponing, boot work and the use of the ice axe.

Thanks to Ben for the photos and giving the guys a great weekend.
