Perspective is a funny thing... Any locals we've met have said its the worst season for snow for a long time, yet all we seem to have skied is powder. Yes, some good decisions on venue to avoid wind blown snow need to be made but its been an incredible trip so far! A few days left, with maybe some stormy weather to come.

For the time being here's a selection of some of the shots so far (some courtesy of and ).

Another top quality couple of days with the Senja crew. Less sunshine and more top ups of snow with an increase in avalanche hazard kept us on some smaller hills. Keep the powder coming 🤙❄️

After a long day travelling, the first two days out in Norway have been incredible!!! The island of Senja feels remote and quiet and we've landed some incredible snow conditions, with powder everywhere and low avalanche forecast!

Great skiing with a wicked crew!!!

A great way to round off my time working in Spain, a day off climbing Magical Mystery Tour with Tom. The brief was a nice chilled, short but adventurous day - not many routes fulfill that more than this one at the grade.

Abseiling down past old fishing ladders starts the route off brilliantly before the climbing has even begun. Building from there the pitches slowly rise in grade, with pitch 5 being a lovely juggy but airy arete to finish. Top stuff.

The first week of working out here in Spain for has come to an end. After a busy first 5 days working away to give the guys as many tools to climb both sport and trad, today was the perfect day off. Big route, chilled grade, good company and sunshine for days 😎

Being away when a good winter spell strikes is tough, but this sunshine makes it a whole load easier!!! Week two here we come 🧗‍♂️

On a stormy Sunday afternoon, it's nice to look back at a great spell of early season winter with plenty of settled weather and good times with friends. The thought never evades me how privileged we are to live here, allowing us to take advantage of conditions when they come good.

I love this time of year!!! Winter is usually coming and going in short spells, work is quiet, and psyche is high 💪😎

So far this early winter has been mega productive, full of some great routes but more importantly some wicked days out with some great people!! ❄️

With some overseas trips planned into the new year, it's great to be making the most of these great conditions while they're here.

Winter 24/25 account open!

A lovely easing into things with low winds and sunny skies, it was a very enjoyable social day out with .coast.mtn.guides and climbing "Coronary Bypass". Well protected, good fun climbing.

Cummingston, definitely one of my favourite places to work. It seems like this place has its own sunny microclimate, sometimes even on the wildest of weather days. Yesterday it was a popular choice, with lots of climbers.

I was there working with instructor training course, who have been working towards independent climbing with a view to completing their RCI training later this year.

A great day out on the northern end of the Cuillin with Ganesh and Gary yesterday. The forecast looked like it could go either way, but despite being in waterproofs all day we only had to endure a few heavy showers and were rewarded with some stunning views 😍

A rare opportunity to go somewhere different and do something slightly different for work this weekend.

The objective was the 3 Knoydart munros. Despite a bit of a setback on day 1, getting just short on Ladhar Bheinn before turning back due to fatigue, day 2 was more fruitful. Having rested at camp at the Belach, day 2 saw us complete the other 2 (Luinne Bheinn and Meall Buidhe) and head back down to Barrisdale Bay for a lovely sunny camp. Today we wandered back along the coastal path with weary legs, but content with our haul.

Always a pleasure to be out on the hill with Peter!
