🚨 Friday Physiotherapy Initial Consultations Available with Anna 🚨

Have you been putting up with aches, pains or an injury all week?

An initial physiotherapy consultation is the first step towards understanding what’s causing your symptoms, getting a clear diagnosis, and putting a treatment plan in place to help you recover and move forward with confidence.

Don’t head into another week hoping it will improve on its own. Get assessed, get answers, and start working towards feeling better.

📅 Limited Friday appointments available – book now.

Why does tendon pain seem to hang around for so long? 🤔

Have you been struggling with a tendon problem for months and feel like you've hit a wall with your recovery?

Maybe you're able to do a little more than before, but every time you try to increase your walking, running, gym work, or sport, the pain flares up again.

Tendons can be slow to recover and sometimes need a little extra help to get moving in the right direction.

Shockwave Therapy works by stimulating your body's natural healing response and can be an effective treatment alongside the right rehabilitation programme.

It may help if you're struggling with: ✔ Achilles tendon pain
✔ Plantar fasciitis (heel pain)
✔ Tennis elbow
✔ Patellar tendon pain (jumper's knee)
✔ Calcific shoulder pain

If you've been stuck at the same level for weeks or months and can't seem to progress your activity, it may be worth exploring whether shockwave therapy is right for you.

🎬 5 Horror Movies: Physio Edition 👻

These are some of the most common things we hear in clinic—and while they might sound familiar, they don't always tell the full story.

1️⃣ Just Rest It and It Will Go Away
Rest can be helpful in the short term, but many injuries recover best with the right amount of movement and gradual loading.

2️⃣ It's Just Because I'm Getting Older
It's easy to blame aches and pains on age, but the picture is often much bigger than that. Around 80% of people will experience back pain at some point in their lives—and 80% of the population isn't old! Factors such as strength, fitness, activity levels, sleep, and recovery can all play an important role.

3️⃣ The Patient Who Expected Results Without Doing Their Exercises
We get it—life gets busy! Hands-on treatment can help settle symptoms, but lasting improvements usually come from the small things you do consistently between appointments.

4️⃣ No Pain, No Gain
A little discomfort during rehabilitation can be normal, but more pain doesn't always mean more progress. Recovery is about finding the right balance between challenge and recovery.

5️⃣ My Spine Is Out of Alignment
Back pain can be worrying, but our spines are strong, adaptable structures. Most aches and pains are influenced by a range of factors and are rarely because something is simply "out of place."

😱 Which one sounds most familiar to you?

Today we had to share this incredible Google review that Erin received. ❤️

No goal is too small, and no achievement should ever go unnoticed.

This is exactly why we do what we do — helping people regain confidence, independence, and the ability to do the things they haven’t been able to do for years.

For some, success isn’t running a marathon or lifting heavy weights. Sometimes it’s being able to get down to the floor and back up again unaided for the first time in years.

Watching our patients reach milestones like these and continue progressing with every appointment is an absolute privilege.

Thank you for trusting us to be part of your journey, and congratulations on such an amazing achievement. 👏

And a massive well done to Erin 💚

✨ Friendly reminder to book your appointments in advance! ✨

Keeping your future appointments scheduled helps avoid disruptions to your treatment plan and keeps you progressing towards your goals without unnecessary gaps. 💪

Life gets busy, diaries fill up fast, and consistency is key — so secure your spot early to stay on track!

Also, a special mention for Lauren’s back strength… because there’s absolutely no chance she’d be supporting Erin like this without all those weekly Pilates classes. Turns out Pilates is great for posture, core strength, and apparently carrying colleagues while checking the diary. 💪🤣
