St Helens 10K Run

This was going to be a 10k run alongside the canal, but it started raining so I turned around.

I had intended to do another 10k on the Friday as well, and then walk the route on the Saturday. However Thursday night I had D&V all night and fell asleep about 2 hours before alarm to go off. And then Saturday work etc stopped a walk around. So I didn't know at the time, but this 7k was my last run before the St Helens 10k!

As you can see from progress chart pic, I am nowhere near what I was in November but I'll try hard and set a goal for next year!

Quick walk whilst kids at Beavers/Judo. Was more annoyed that as I got back my eat said 5k but app is 4.99! Lol

Just a quick walk around whilst kids at Beavers/Cubs. Ironically walking around the outside of Leigh running track. Just wanted to get a bit of distance here to step up a bit.

Arthur's longest distance so far. Need to step him up to slow him down a bit! Distance and time was showing wrong in one app but other app was showing fine but without a map!

Sunday 12 February 2023 - W2R1 with Arthur

Another run out with my eldest, this time alongside the canal. As he found yesterday easy, we moved to week 2 of the app to do longer runs. He said he felt the last one. I sprinted on the last one as well to show up that it's not about speed to run for longer. Killed me though lol. He seems to be enjoying it.

Gonna take a day off for recovery, then either alone or together Tuesday depending on if he is awake. May push him to do a 5k run/walk and see how he gets on!! If mainly walking I reckon he'll do it fine anyway.

Saturday 11 February 2023 - W1R1 with Arthur

Back to running again finally after a 3 month break. Such a killer, and backwards step. Ran with my eldest son. If I can get to his pace I'll be ok! But then he needs time so hopefully can help each other. Can't believe how hard this was again. And to think the 10k is a month away!!🤪
