Newton Stewart Ladies Football Club Ladies team formed in Newton Stewart in November 2023.

Our aim is to provide the platform and opportunity for participation at Senior League level football across Dumfries and Galloway and Southern Scotland for women of all ages and abilities 🖤🤍🖤

On Saturday, we held our Player of the Year Awards to celebrate a fantastic season and recognise the players who have made a huge contribution throughout the year.

🏆 Top Goal Scorer – Ellie Stalley

🏆 Young Player of the Year and winner of the Budge McLean Memorial Shield – Ellie McEwan

🏆 Manager's Player of the Year – Kerrie Ann Coid

🏆 Players' Player of the Year and winner of the Jo Marshall Memorial Shield – Nikki Evans

Unfortunately, Nikki wasn't able to attend on the night, so we don't have any photos of her receiving her awards.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported Newton Stewart Ladies F.C. throughout the season.

A football club is about so much more than what happens on the pitch. It’s about community, commitment, and people coming together to support something they care about. And this club is a perfect example of that.

To our players — thank you for your hard work, dedication, and commitment. Whether it’s training in all weather, travelling to matches, pushing through tough moments, or giving everything for the badge, you should all be incredibly proud of yourselves. Your teamwork, determination, and spirit are what make this club special.

To our supporters and fans — thank you for standing by us, cheering us on, and supporting the team week in and week out. Whether home or away, your encouragement means more than you probably realise. Football is always better when there’s a strong community behind it, and we’re lucky to have that.

To our sponsors — thank you for your generosity and belief in this club. Your support helps make so much possible, and we truly appreciate the backing you give us. Local support is vital for clubs like ours, and we never take that for granted.

To our committee and everyone working behind the scenes — thank you for all the hard work, time, and effort you put in. So much happens that people don’t always see: organising, planning, fundraising, helping on match days, and keeping everything running smoothly. Clubs don’t succeed without people willing to give their time, and we’re incredibly grateful for everything you do.

The Ladies brought their Scottish Women's Football League South campaign to a close today with a hard fought three points secured on the road at Benburb WFC. A goal from captain Rebecca Hughes and a double from Ellie Stalley ensured the team ended the 2025/26 league season on a real high.

The Ladies have made huge strides this season and in 2026 especially all their hard work has paid off in style with a series of incredible results to almost treble last seasons points total and goal tally too. A few weeks of well deserved rest for everyone then we will hope to continue the progression the team has made this year 🖤🤍🖤
