We reached the halfway point in the season this evening as we welcomed Saltburn GC

In the scratch section, we achieved a clean sweep with wins from Shaun Collier (2&1), Ian Grainger (4&3), Stephen & Michael Howlett (both 1up).

In the handicap section, Lee Jordan (1up), Tom Allison (2up) and resident Scot Mick McCabe (5&4) continued their good form, with Chris Walker (3&1) and Dan Harrison (half) adding to the points tally.

Special thanks to Lee Reynoldson tonight who provided loads of snacks and drinks to keep the team fuelled; a great gesture.

Course was looking fabulous tonight and it received some great praise from the opposition, so big thanks to the greenkeeping team!

Anyway… c’mon England!

TSU Senior Knock Out Cup Result.

*Woodham 3.5 Ineos 1.5*

After making the final last year we took an early exit from this year’s knock out cup.
A win for Cousins & Barker and a half for Appleby & Hamilton gave us 1.5 pts. Two of the other matches were close but not to be this year.

Good Luck to Woodham in the next round.

We go back to League action next Monday with a home game against Middlesbrough ⛳️🏌️‍♂️

TSU Seniors

Hunley Hall 3 Ineos 11

Today we reached the half way point of the season with the long journey to Hunley Hall on a sunny day by the sea.
Wins for Appleby & Hamilton, Killip & Swainston and Howson & McCabe gave us three wins with the other three ending in halves. Halves for Cousins & Taylor, Moore & Pocklington and Howe & Walker gave us a resounding away win. We secured the two point bonus giving us an 11-3 win. This sets us up nicely with a game in hand to come.
Tomorrow we visit our neighbours Woodham in the knock out cup before we resume our league matches next Monday against Middlesbrough ⛳️🏌️‍♂️

Today we resumed our Division 1 title defence against Blackwell GC after a two week break.
After losing our previous home game we got back to winning ways with a 9-4 victory.
Wins for Cousins & Barker, Robinson & Moore, Garnett & Walker and McCabe & Bell giving us four wins out of the six matches. Also securing a bonus point for most holes won overall.
Next week we have the long journey to Hunley Hall ⛳️🏌️‍♂️

Tonight saw us visit unfamiliar ground in Middlesbrough GC.

In the scratch section Stephen Howlett continued his winning streak, with Shaun Collier securing a narrow win also.

In the handicap section, Mick McCabe (5&3), Ian Grainger (3&2) & Tom Allison (2&1) secured great wins, with Anth Garnett and Lee Jordan both achieving halves.

An excellent score away from home. We resume in a fortnight, when we welcome Saltburn.

Welcome, Finn!

We’re pleased to welcome Finn Bradon to the greenkeeping team for the remainder of the summer, where he’ll be working alongside Shaun and Foggy.

Finn previously worked at Blackwell Grange and brings valuable experience that will no doubt help us continue improving the course over the coming months.

Fun fact: You might not see much of Finn during the winter. That’s because he plays ice hockey for Leeds Knights and, at just 20 years old, has already earned a senior Great Britain call-up; an impressive achievement!

If you see Finn around the course, be sure to say hello and give him a warm welcome!

Wilton GC were this evenings visitors to Ineos in the Teesside Union.

In the scratch section, a win for Stephen Howlett (5&4) was followed up with a half from Sam Telford.

The handicap section recorded some big wins, Lee Jordan (6&5 (pictured)), Tom Allison (5&3), Mick Donnelly (5&3) and Mick McCabe (4&3). Ian Grainger and Michael Howlett gained halves.

Week 2 in the Teesside Union saw us make the short trip over town to our close neighbours and friends at Woodham.

Stephen Howlett recorded the only points in the scratch section with a 2&1 win, whilst in the handicap section, Anth Garnett (pictured) won 4&3, with Ian Grainger and Chris Walker both halving their matches. Overall, a disappointing result.

Next week, we entertain the lads from Wilton, and as always, any support would be great to see!
