Currently training outdoors in Courtney Park by the Band Stand, opposite Newton Abbot train station 7.30 -9 on Thursday evenings. Sessions cost £7 for 2 hours

Goju-Ryu Karate is a practical karate style which places heavy emphasis on cl

ose-quarter combat. It has a nice mix of basics of Karate, sparring, groundwork, forms, drills, weapons, exercises and much more. This really is a very effective self-defence system that has traditional roots and training methods while ever evolving. What we practice is Okinawan Goju-Ryu and our focus is aimed at real situations that you could find yourself in. In this day and age it's becoming ever more important to learn how to defend yourself. This could be just what you need, be it one on one defence, multiple attackers or weapons defence, we could help. We welcome beginners and practitioners from other styles. Come along and join in, what harm can it do? Get fit, have fun and learn to defend your self at the same time. There are no expensive joining fees, and you can train in t-shirt and leggings/tracksuit bottoms until you buy your GI. Join the friendliest local Karate Club in South Devon. SS23!!!! What an incredible weekend!
From the amazing knowledge shared by the Shihans Gavin, Dan, Kevin Buxey, Dave Arnold, Roger Sheldon, Paul Coleman and Sensei Goran, to the cameraderie and willingness to help from all the participants, to the outstanding final grading and the courage and spirit shown by Pete Willicott who was unfortunately injured during his 30 man.
