Great to see these 2 pass their white belts today @ the Newton Abbot Kung Fu Club. So very mature for their age.

Red - "I'm glad we had to work hard for our belt and didn't just get given one".

Jack - "This is much better than the other class I went to, that was just like PE exercises, here we actually learn self defence.

As the school continues to grow with new members, it's time to give a big WELL DONE to those who passed their Kung Fu testing at Newton Abbot HKB Martial Arts yesterday..

Josh, Eben & Joe all making good progress within the Children's class. Staying focused on the task at hand. Listening, learning and improving.

Lance & Ellie from our adult class have just made it to Brown Sash. If they keep this level of dedication to practice, they will both be Black Sash's by this time next Year!

The one big question I've been asked recently is could I do it??... The answer is YES!! Anyone can learn and practice what we teach here at HKB Martial Arts Newton Abbot.

I need to help break the stigma that Kung Fu is only for super fit, youngsters!.

1) Most new starters we get do not have a sporting background.

2) The average age of new starters we've had over the past 6 months is 45.

For sure a professional athlete 'should' do better than the average person but that shouldn't stop you from being the best you can be and enjoying this deep and rich traditional martial art.

A big WELL DONE to these 3 students for making it into our Kung Fu Leadership group and achieving their White Sash's yesterday after 6 months of intense training.

Kung Fu = Skills learned via hard work!.

Being in our HKB Leadership group means you are someone the next generation of students will look up to for direction and guidance. So wear those green T-shirts with pride and set an example.

I look forward to helping you develop and seeing you helping others as the school grows with time.

Big push for the Newton Abbot Kung Fu School this Summer 2024!.

We are reopening the Wednesday group classes, so we will have Child and Adult classes on both Monday and Wednesday eve's.

Childs Kung Fu. Mon & Wed 6PM > 7PM
Adult Beginner. Mon & Wed 7PM > 8PM
Ault Advanced.. Mon & Wed 8PM > 9PM~

Our beginner Courses are available for both Children and adults.
The beginner course consists of 6 lessons to cover all of the basic movements and is suitable for total beginners or advanced martial artists, both young and older.

After the Beginner course we offer monthly memberships starting at just £25 child and £30 adult.
