When I was done with contact sport at 32, baseball became what I call my retirement sport. When I’m not PTing, this is what I’m doing (in the summer at least) and I’ll be playing it until my body says no more.

This past weekend was a blast with the boys, aka The Sandlot travel team led by the indomitable . We took it all in Kent at the annual Battle for Britain tournament. 🏆⚾️ Next up, The Summer Cup. 💪

🚴‍♂️ 12-HOUR CYCLING CHALLENGE FOR COTS FOR TOTS 🚴‍♂️

This 12-hour cycling event organised by Winners2000 gym - and held on 16 April 2025 across all three sites in Newton Abbot, Torquay and Paignton - is to raise money for the incredible charity, Cots for Tots, in Bristol. 💙

When our twin boys were born 10 weeks premature, Cots for Tots gave us a lifeline during one of the most stressful and traumatic times of our lives - they provided us with a place to stay just across from St. Michael’s Hospital, allowing us to be close to our boys when they needed us most without the financial or logistical strain.

Charities like Cots for Tots, who serve the entire south west region, and so many others supporting NICUs across the UK, are invaluable to families navigating such difficult circumstances. 🙏

💪 Stacey’s Menopause Strength Journey 💪

Stacey is one of my clients who came to me for help with her menopause symptoms. 🌿 🌺✨

Like many, cardio 🏃‍♀️ was her default form of exercise, but I advised her that implementing a strength training 🏋️‍♀️ programme was a vital holistic addition to accompany her HRT.

Stacey was specifically suffering from symptoms such as:
😔 Low mood
😟 Anxiety
😴 Fatigue & low energy

I love this picture. But it’s so bittersweet. I’ll spare you the details, but it has been a torturous five months for my wife and I, and we’re now trying to process the trauma while keeping a newborn alive.

The Lord does indeed giveth and taketh away.

What I’ve discovered is that the after-party is worse than the main event. When it’s happening you put your head down and deal with what’s in front of you. At this stage it’s triage - you fix what’s bleeding first. But when you’ve stemmed the bleeding and you’re over what you think is the worst of it, reality hits you full in the face. This is where I’m at and I’m just about holding it together for normal life function.

Personally, this is uncharted territory. I’m OK - I put on a front like we all do - but my confidence, self-esteem and self-belief are on the floor and I’m trying desperately, on a daily basis, not to let imposter syndrome get the better of me. So, for now, I’ve stopped chasing that elusive carrot we as a society seem obsessed with chasing, and I’m just trying to muddle through every day.

Down the line, perhaps I’ll come out of this a better person, maybe even try to figure out what there is, if anything, to learn from it. Time is most certainly a healer. But it’s a weird paradox trying to live in the moment and find joy in the everyday while wishing that time would pass so I can heal quicker.

I’m 30 years old in this pic. But I know for a fact that I didn’t think I looked very good at the time. I’ve looked back at so many pictures and thought the same.

Imagine how much more confident and less anxious about our appearance we’d all be if we could see ourselves the way others see us. Imagine if we all achieved our full potential as a result. The world would be ours for the taking.
