🏌️‍♀️⛳️ Rose McKeown Cup 2026 ⛳️🏌️‍♂️

Well done to our Cloverhill mixed inter-club team who took part in the Rose McKeown Cup today, kindly hosted by Mannan Castle.

It was a fantastic mixed-pairs inter-club competition held in memory of Rose McKeown, aunt of Cloverhill members Michael Short and Éilis McCreesh. The competition was kindly sponsored by Rose's nephew, Cathal Short of Crossmaglen Bureau de Change.

Our team played extremely well and were narrowly defeated, finishing a brilliant second place with 191 points, just 3 points behind the winners, Mannan Castle, on 194. Concra Wood finished on 184 points.

A special congratulations to our power couple, Michael Short and Hazel McGill, who scored an impressive 42 points to take second place for the best overall pairing on countback. 👏👏

Trump Plays Round At Cloverhill Golf Course Mullaghbawn

US President Donald Trump has reportedly decided that no visit to Ireland would be complete without experiencing the finest golfing the island has to offer, with the American president allegedly swapping his planned trip to his own course in Doonbeg for a quick nine holes at Cloverhill Golf Course in Mullaghbawn.

Sources close to the president said Trump became intrigued after being told that Cloverhill had "less ocean, more sheep and significantly fewer Secret Service agents," prompting him to declare that it sounded like "a very classy place."

Locals were reportedly surprised to see the presidential motorcade arrive, with Trump apparently impressed by the course and particularly taken with the traditional Armagh golfing experience of someone shouting "FORE!" from about three fairways away.

The White House has refused to confirm whether Trump will be attempting the infamous Cloverhill challenge, but officials said he is already looking forward to "making Mullaghbawn great again."

Not an easy task to keep such a huge area under control. Every year the course is getting better and better - Colin, Joe & Sean have knocked it out of the park.
