Well folks that wraps up the mid Ulster championships 2026 and its 3 gold medals for our 3 boxers entered..first off we had our wee Emmett okeefe and after a great display of power and precision rarely seen from a52kg novice is crowned mid Ulster champion by way of stoppage in the 2nd round against a great opponent..then we had Cillian mc Cann who with a tremendous showing of pressure and hart put is cardio on full display to stop his very game opponent in the 2nd round also..and last but not least we had Lokin Begly stepping threw the ropes our team captain..and he did not disappoint..boxing beautifully on the back foot and making constant changes threw out the bout against a cracking opponent to be crowned mid Ulster champion by way of a tight 2-1 split..we want to say how proud we are of these young men who are undefeated Louth Armagh down and mid Ulster champions!!!well done lads it’s a pleasure being your coaches!also want to mention frank sands and paddy melecci who prepared for these championships but threw injury and sickness had to withdraw!!!team craigmore!!!thank you to mid Ulster board and to CBC Culloville Boxing Club for hosting!

Well done to all our boxers that entered the Armagh down championships this week end in Culloville..all boxers giving it their all and doing fantastic!first up on Saturday we had Ollie Murtagh open the show setting the bar and just loosing out on a 2-1split to next weeks finalist!then we had Jason Mc Evoy stepping threw the ropes for the first time stopping his Semi final opponent in the third round but unfortunately loosing out on 2-1split in his final.then we had cillian mc Cann who in his first time at contest stopped both of his opponents to be crowned Armagh down senior champion in dramatic fashion!then we had our wee emmett okeefe also boxing at his first contest also stopping his opponent in great style to be crowned Armagh down champion!of course frank sands could not let his opportunity of being crowned Armagh down taken of him and after a 3 round war with his brilliant opponent frank leaves as 66kg champion!then paddy melecci who fought with valour but unfortunately could not make the second round.we also want to say that we are proud of Ross..Lokin..Cormac and cailum..who spared and weighed in but unfortunately received walkovers!thanks to ArmaghDown Boardfor giving our boxers a platform!

Well folks we would like to thank everybody that braved the cold last week end and and went in the water in carlingford lough..all the lads and family members that went in did them selves proud..cold water dips are not easy at all..well done!and thank you also to all the friends and family that came down to omeath to support our boxers and came back to the gym for hot food after..it was great to get a chat with you all..and finally thank you everyone that took the time to go out with their sponsor card to raise funds for the club!!team craigmore!!

So folks it’s that time of year again..our annual cold dip!we will be going in from our usual place of omeath pier but this year we have to wait on the tide so we are running in at 1 O’clock sharp.then back to the gym for hot food and drinks..our boys will also be sparing.so we would love to see as many of our boxers..family members..friends and supporters come out and join in and enjoy the day!!see you all on Sunday!❤️🥊
