The Irish National Cross-country (XC) Championships will take place on the 23rd and 24th of July 2022

We are excited to kick off the 2022 CrossCountry Mountain Bike series, in just 10 days time, in Newtownards, Co Down and hosted by Ards Cycling Club on Saturday April 30th.

This series is powered by Scott bikes who will be sponsoring our podium prizes!

The Newtowards, Leadmines course will offer everything you need in a XC race with sharp tough climbs and fast descents along with plenty of challenging quick sections and singletrack. You will ride through rocks, gravel, forest and of course ... given the time of year, probably even some mud.

For those who are *not sure*, there are 2 x 'taster' categories as follow:

Men S4 - which runs over a shorter race time on the full course
Women S3 - which cuts out some of the hardest sections of the course, for a smoother intro to competition
